Do Canadians eat slugs? I thought snails were a Frenchie thing. Or you talking about the shotgun variety... in the army we called those knock knocks, as in door openers. Guess they work well for bears huh?

If you rack the slide for someone that gets at least 70% of people to leave , if the first 2 rounds of bird shot don't convince them , next coming out is buckshot , if there still coming i know the slug will stop them . And if it has to come to that its going to be a very slow moving target .

Did some light wheeling yesterday. Went about 30k into the forest along the Goat River. Pretty stuff. I'm in the town of Jasper, AB and the Jasper NP. Very cool place. I'm going to camp out tonight somewhere bt Jasper and Lake Louise. This will be my last night sleeping in truck until I put the wife and boy on a plane in Salt Lake City. Tomorrow I will be at the indy Rover shop in Calgary. Have to do laundry and clean out the truck. Also need to take a part my sleeping platform and set it up for 3 people.

Way too warm for these parts.

Agreed. I spent the weekend on the coast at Westport, drove the Disco onto the beach to make dinner and watch the sunset. 70 degrees felt pleasant, returning home to the mid 90's not so much. The remote reaches of Alberta sound a bit more interesting, though.

M&S Limp issue was caused by 3 coins that had made their way under the shifter. Ha! My alternator was still a little on the low side, 13.7, so we replaced it with a new 150amp model. So now I can run whatever I want all at the same time. I have 6 Aux lights etc...

TRS in Calgary are awesome!!! Verne and Jason are top notch. They were busy, it is a good size operation. However, Verne dropped what he was doing and started on my truck as soon as I rolled up. In fact, they did everything in 2hrs. Lots of parts on hand. Didn't get screwed at all. I highly recommend them if you are in the Calgary area.

Ha coins.. that must be a relief. My alt has always output 13.7v to 13.8v, but I guess you needed more amps anyways.

Yeah I made the call on the new bigger alternator. I figured I would be replacing it anyway, and they had the 150amp in stock, so I just went ahead and swapped it. Since they pulled the belt, I had them put my new spare belt on and kept the old one for a spare. That worked out good.

I'm now committed to the Rover for at least a few years. I now have a good bit invested in it, plus it has made it to AK without any real issues, other than the 3 coins.....

The Rover runs much better now with new Alternator. Much smoother and quieter.

I've figured out my pic posting issues. Over the next week or two, I will be posting a ton of pics and videos. I've also done a voice daily report, they are pretty entertaining from me being tired and bored while driving. As soon as I figure out how to post them, I will.

Put it on blogger.com and post a link? I look forward to seeing it!

As I rolled into Badlands NP late in the night, I passed a sign that said, "Warning: Bison running loose" or something like that. Within 2 mins I saw one right next to the road. I had my 4 Aux lights on and tried to put some light on it to take a pic. It just stared right into those lights from about 30ft for 3 mins straight.

No problem. It is a little time consuming uploading and transferring everything, but if ya'll enjoy it I'll keep posting it.
