Shit like this....
Yes that is the most manly Subaru there is....guy told me he had Disco a while back. He checked out mine and said he missed his. Then he got in his Subaru and drove off.
After a long day on getting searched at the border and driving across Alberta on Hwy 22, dealing with M&S Limp mode, I got into Dawson Creek late. Like midnight. I didn't take any pics along the way bc it wasn't very scenic at all. Here is where the ALCAN Hwy starts.
Lot of Rovers in Calgary. I'm getting the "Rover Wave" from a lot of people in Rovers.
Well I transformed Whitey from a camper into a family SUV. Pretty neat the way my platform comes a part. I put all my camping shit on the roof in a canvas roof top carrier.
Cost me $26 Canadian to pressure wash the Disco! Everything is so expensive up here. No wonder people are struggling.
Well the band is back together. It was a good day yesterday picking up the wife and boy. I can tell I won't have much time to post for a while. So as I get time I will try to continue putting up pics.
The one cool thing Canada has, is Ultra 94 fuel!!!! The Rover loves it. Runs so good.
Unfortunately, construction is just a way of life on the ALCAN. The time they have to work on the roads is so short that there is a lot of it going on. This little portable Red Light is pretty common.
Funny thing about that is that probably 40% of the workers were women. Even more surprisingly, most of them were not butch. Some were pretty. To the point they looked out of place.
It was a good moment to make to Yukon. I felt like that is where my adventure began just bc it is just so far North. All my years dreaming of driving across the Yukon, I never actually thought I would get to do it. Yet, here I am doing it.
No, I sure don't. Don't know why, but I wish I would have. It was the strangest thing. It was consistent too, wasn't just one area, but just about every zone for the most part.
