16" compressed 28 extended.

And you have to remember the travel is not linear. The shock is angled both in and forward.

I easily dislocated ome 781 with a 1.25" ish spacer on d1 mounts....

4.75!!!! I would never go 5", that's nuts.

But for real, I've got a ton of weight all around the vehicle, it probably nets more like 3.75" or so..

Do you want me to just measure from shock bolt to shock bolt?

11.5" frame to top of axle.
8" of exposed shaft. mind you no spare tire on the back right now.

kinda more than I thought though, but I can still dislocate l8 4.5 springs without retainers...

Are you measuring from the top of the axle stop bracket to the frame where the axle stop is mounted? I get like 9". That's pretty insane that I'm at a 4" lift(23" from wheel arch to center of center cap, stock is 19") and you're 2.5" taller than me.

8" is a little more than I'd like upwards, but I will get the 12" SBs and go from there.

hmm. ya frame at bump, and top of axle tube.

i dont have a bump pad. or wheel arch.

try center of wheel to bottom of rear glass window. I cant imagine that I have 6" of lift.

I'm 33 too.

My advice, run the oem mounts and see how it performs. Then when you get big tires, take the springs off and flex it until something hits then set your bump stops then move the shock mounts until you get all the motion from them you can.

Fwiw you will need longer brake lines. I run good ridge extended fronts on the back and they are perfect.

I'll be running +8" brake lines from Paragon when they're done making them. You're really 33", that is odd. I really want to avoid smashing my shock mounts too... I'll wait until I install them to decide relocating the mounts.

Well anyways, the 4 week build time turned out to be like a week +shipping from Cali. I now have a set of:
Part number: AK7114SB99
Options: Valving - 400/100
Quantity: 2

I'll sell for $320 + shipping, if anyone is looking for 14" SBs.

Try to fit them before you sell them. I run a 12" Fox on my D1 with raised upper mounts. They fit and the extended length is 31.10" and 19.10" compressed. Not sure about a D2 but they may fit. I have about 4" of exposed shaft which works out perfectly. I still plan on adding the bumps on the shaft that Frank uses.
