After years of swearing off Jeeps, I broke down and bought one. Love it so far. Anyone else on here switched over to the dark side?

Lately Chrysler products have more electrical and computer gremlins than Rover used to. I personally know of two Ram trucks that were both lemoned out.

One of them bought a Jeep like yours. I asked him, "So, you're trading an unreliable Chrysler product for............another Chrysler product?"

Had an 03' Ram when I was younger that was a POS. Trans shat the bed twice, dash and plastic pieces fell apart, HVAC issues all before 100k. So cheaply built. I've had significantly less problems with my Rovers

If I go back to Jeep the last thing I would ever buy is a JK. I think there are many JKs are there are Accords around here.

Yes. Brand new, 10 year/100k mile warranty, front/rear lockers, auto sway disconnects, heated seats, nav, all under $40k. Was tired of always working on the Rovers. Love it so far (1 month). After 15+ years with Rovers, we'll see.

They certainly have their issues, but having owned many Land Rovers over the years, i'm not too worried. The biggest thing that drove me towards the Jeep was how much the Land Rover community sucks compared to 10+ years ago. The $2500 disco has ruined it.

Good color choice! Any plans to modify it? Mine has the 4" Old man emu lift and rides better than stock.

You can't blame the $2500 Disco on anyone but Land Rover proper. They're the ones changing their target market, and leaving the enthusiasts behind...

Does that mean you don't want to buy back your old truck?

Any manufacturer has its problems. If we were worried about reliability, we would be on the Honda Accord forums, not a Land Rover forum.

That being said, I know a lot more Land Rovers that were lemoned than Chrysler products. And there are WAY more Chrysler products on the road than Land Rover.

No, you can't blame the $2500 disco on anything but the open market. The cheap trucks were a problem long before the target market changed.

give me a year or two and then I might. problem with that truck (well, by now you may have discovered more, though I really hope not) was that I couldn't load the kids up in it and take off.

ARB full width bumper and winch and then level up the height with 1.5" and call it a day. This is my DD and I want it to stay comfortable but useful. Like my 95 Disco was way back in the day.

So why has the $2500 Disco caused a problem?I remember when Discos just crossed under the 10,000 mark. It was scary to go off-road cause I was afraid to destroy it. Now that there cheaper it's better to me.

Because of the cheap asses that came with the cheap trucks.

I don't think there are enough Rovers around period to really "ruin the community." They make more JKs in three months than there were Discos imported to the US from 94-04. I'm sure in the UK its different, but we aren't in the UK.
