Alright guys, we now have a "Member Trucks" section. It's a place where you can post details and photos of your trucks for everyone to see. This is more or less the 2015 equivalent of the old DiscoWeb "Photo Gallery".

You can set up your truck gallery by clicking here:

You can also browse other members' galleries by visiting the Member Trucks forum, where every truck that we create gets posted.

It's still a little rough around the edges right now. I'm going to continue to tweak it and improve how it works and appears. We will eventually have a little sidebar on the forums list that rotates through random truck galleries.

So, give it a shot. Add some trucks to it and let me know what you think.

A big thanks to the guys that chipped in to pay for the software!

Thanks guys. A couple of more folks (Jeff, Nick, Tobias) sent donations. I really appreciate the support but we're good now. I bought the software and it's running. We'll do another drive maybe late in the year, maybe for some t-shirts.

Thanks for supporting DWeb.

I know; I was just giving you shit. I can't wait to see y'all again this summer for some more of this.
We'll do it differently next time. We were too hungry to wait for about 20 min for the chops to be ready - it is better to grill the entire rack, and slice it afterwards.

Have you ever grilled an entire rack of lamb? There's quite a bit of bone and thickness to the entire rack, so direct heat doesn't really do the trick. When I cook a rack, I sear it in a pan and then finish it in an oven using a thermometer in the center of the meat. I grilled one once before I knew what I was doing and it was an utter fail.

I have a killer recipe for sliced rack of lamb:

Marinade:
a pinch of saffron immersed in a few tbl of hot water
1 tsp turmeric
1 minced jalapeno
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 onion grated on a cheese box grater (it makes a water mess, but that's what you want)

Portion the rack of lamb and marinate for a few hours. Grill the lamb on a blazingly hot grill for about 1-1.5 min/side to get med rare.

Mike - at home I always grill the entire rack. Not a bit of marinade for lamb ribs (it doesn't mean no marinade on other lamb meat). Garlic salt and quite a bit of black pepper.
Thermometer isn't necessary if you're okay with medium rare; you can go by the thickness of the rack. Pretty much the same time scale as for a steak - about 15 minutes per inch. Trader Joes' racks are too skinny, Costco's - too fat, Hole Fudz - unfortunately - just right.

Damn this is distracting.

Alright guys, stickers are going out today. Thanks again for donating! If you forgot to include your address and want some stickers, shoot me a PM or Facebook message soon and I'll get some out for you.

So the Member Trucks is up and running and I'm working on a sidebar w/ latest posts and random truck photos. Should have something to show y'all soon.

Can I suggest a mark all posts as read button? Even after marking each forum read the new posts stay visible if I don't look at them all. Lots of the threads I don't care about about but would like them to go away the way they used to after the implementation of the "New Post" button.

Does the "Automotive and related news" section make money for the site? If not, is there any way to filter it so that it doesn't show up in the "new posts" search?

No idea. I will ask Axel. He set it up. Does anybody here care about it? I'd just as soon remove it.
