Anyone looking to buy an ARB (Engel) frig/freez, they are on sale at 4 Wheel Parts. They have the 33 on sale for $599.00 this weekend only. Happy shopping.

hehe,

Me and some of the guys did the driveway drinking thing for the longest time. Now I live in the country again, so I step out, light a fire, pop open a guiness, and shoot the bottles from last night. :D

Seriously though, I got my Engal 45 from EE a little while ago, along with the transit bag. I love it. It's keeping my carrot juice cool in the garage right now. It gets much colder than a normal fridge, and it's built like a tank. The extra height has come in handy, although, never having used a 35, I can't actually compare.

The transit bag is a marvel to me. Someone definately has too much time on their hands. It is crafted with extreme care, and sort of reminds me of a Mechanix glove as far as the way it is built, or a fine backpack. If you buy the fridge, buy the bag if you can, trust me. I squeezed it in on John's advice, and I'm glad I did.

Cheers,

Kennith

Upon the advice of John Lee I bought the 45 engel...and the transit bag...everything everyone has said about this thing is true...It almost should be the first purchase if owning a disco...I'm well pleased...

One question though...best method to hardwire this puppy?...I'mk using the cig lighter attachment right now...but I wanna run a hardwire from the battery under the hood...2 conductor 8 guage being as its a decent distance is a no brainer...but shouyld I just add a cig lighter outlet to the end of that or cut the engel cord and make irt truly hardwired?

TIA
Marcus

I put a power socket on the side panel- opposite the original power socket in the rear. Works great and the power socket comes in handy for stuff like charging a cell phone while the truck is turned off as well. Mounting the slide lock base is the next step- Making a wooden floor is a PITA.

Anyone try the new Coleman Stirling Cooler? CostCo.com has them for $390.00. It has a capacity of 26 quarts and has 5 cooling levels. Highest temp is 50 deg. F and lowest temp goes down to 0 deg F. Pretty chilly! Coleman retails them for $599.00 Feedback? I know it isn't an ARB/Engel, but the price seems pretty good. Only drawback I found was the operational angle limit was 12 deg. I know the Engel/ARB angle is higher, but how much higher?
