Screw Hertz, used to rent from them a while back on work trips, but switched to Enterprise. We got accounts with both and Enterprise has been way more pleasant to deal with all over the U.S. They are also better at giving free upgrades than Hertz. The latter is also more expensive as far as daily rates go.
Against my better judgment, I decided to fly into Boston and rent a car instead of simply driving there, which is what I normally do.
Being on that shuttle bus, listening to big brother tell me how to do everything along the way, and being poured out into a rude, confusing situation at the Hertz corral is perhaps the most uncomfortable I've ever been in my life.
And, let me tell you, I've been in some
seriously shitty and uncomfortable situations. That little Hertz venture, for me, was a little piece of hell. Never again.
I did, however, have a
hell of a time with the flight attendants on the way back.
