It still kinda looks like a Defender. Has a Sals rear axle and what appears to be a standard 24 spline up front. The coild have been updated but underneath it looks like a regular rover

Andy, you should compile as many overseas rover pics as possible, and maybe some domestic and make a calendar.

D I have several good pics now so I may just do that. I couldn't get a pic of the two old Afghan men driving a early Defender PU. It was actually in good shape and had a clean canvas top.

Ooh! A Shorland armored car.

It should have either a Salisbury in front or a "one-ton ten-spline in the front. Take a look at the drive flanges, if they appear deeper that those on your Disco, they are one-ton ten-splines.

Your VSS will be here Thursday.

PT it may have had the 1 ton ten spline. I didn't pay attention to the flanges.

Also I will email or call you with payment and address info for the VSS.

Andy, back in the day they had a few 110s running around Kabul area. NGO types driving them. Looked fairly ragged though.

Can you mail it back piece by piece like Radar did on MASH? Send it to PT, he can reassemble it as he gets the parts.

it has been done

Makes sense to me... especially when you consider that there are probably a lot of transport aircraft going to Afghanistan fully laden, and the returning empty aside from returning personell, it seems like the military could recoup some of what's lost from that empty space by charging for fuel to take a truck back or something.

Andrew, if you could work this out... 110's for everybody! :D
