Speaking of bump stops, Terrafirma just released bolt on hydraulic bump stop mounts. You can see them in the new catelogue

if you gotta ask.....i think they were $600 for the whole front kit included the bumps, i think. call eli or eitan for an accurate price. there is a picture of the front and rear kits on a defender frame without the cab on, on asfir's website.

but answer your question, they are probably more than terrafirma.

That is if the stock radius arm is at a flat angle to the ground. I think it is closer to 15 degrees.

stock arm angle 0
stock x length 52
lift height 3
lift x length 51.91338941
length delta 0.08661059

stock arm angle 15.00
stock x length 50.23
lift height 3.00
lift x length 49.33
length delta 0.90

Thank you!!!!

OK, the verdict is in:
stock truck (D1), top of the front radius arms: 0 degrees
2"-lifted trucks (D1 and LWB), top of the front radius arms: very close to 2 degrees.
five-on-six-and-a-half, go measure your suspension.

Roberto, you could figure out that 15-deg radius arms would lead to horrible oversteer.

modded radius arms fix pinion angle, NOTHING more and nothing less. extending the wheelbase is a benefit while doing it

modded knuckle balls fix caster. nothing more and nothing less.

do both, or dont do either.

:applause:

I never said that extending the arms was a fix for pinion angle I don't know why some one on this thread assumes I ment that. I was simply saying I prefer to use the modded knuckle balls and modding the mount or just useing the RTE arms. At least some one agrees with me that extending the arms make a difference.
What took you so long Damitt!

Yeah I mis-spoke. Said castor corrected arms when I meant pinion.
What's the downside to not running castor corrected balls with modded radius arms? I also didn't see the balls on RTE's site, IDK?

Yes you did. But then you removed it on 09-06-2012 at 04:19 AM.

Hold on...

The "castor-correcting" radius arms change the rotation of the entire axle assembly, meaning they change BOTH castor AND pinion angle by the same amount.

Re-drilled swivel balls change the castor angle without affecting the pinion angle.
