"The H2 is a tax loophole. Under Bush's new tax plan, business owners can deduct the entire cost of their $55,000 H2. If you are in the highest tax bracket, that's a tax savings of nearly $20,000! The government rewards you more savings for buying an H2 than you'd get for buying an electric car. "

You would have to claim it as a business vehicle and on top of that it was a one time thing.. That loop hole has been closed already so it won't happen again anytime soon..

ok Quentin , the problem is becoming clearer , you cant read. Perhaps you need some good ole US schooling on that too here it is again , take your time , read it nice and slow.. "Lets say we closed all imports into the US and we simply took the real estate that we won with blood. What would other Countries think then ?"

There are web sites that can help with some of the words if you ahve problems , or just ask. Someone will help I am sure

Now who has thier head in the sand ? Aside from half the planet being one big Country. the others would suffer pretty severe economic loss without the US market..

Just wondering since this was brought up... Why would we even need any other countries for anything? I can't think of anything that we don't already have our selves..

I am saying that we should imediately move Las Vegas to the new state of Iraq , it wont look much different and then all the freaks can be contained in one central location. They wont mind the oil wells I am sure.... :D

I started to write this earlier, but had to close out b/c my boss walked in....

I never meant we should just 'stay here, minding our own business, and simply defend our borders'...that would be NAIVE (Discoweb needs a spell check for you folks). My point is that we shouldn't be invading countries that never directly attacked us first. I hate that so many of our young men and women are DYING for a war that didn't have to take place...not there and not this way. Should we try to hunt down the people that killed co-workers of my friends in NY and DC?! Hell yes....are they in Iraq? NO. This was a pre-meditated war of business and corporate greed.

Re: political parties...I agree with both Steve and Kyle. We need a balance of intelligent people in the middle...but we will probably never get it.

OK I give up...
But this has been fun, I dont give a rats arse about politics or politicians, I think they are a selfserving corrupt breed of worthless scum.
I couldnt give a rats arse about who wins in America or how much tax you guys pay, or how much your fuel costs.

Anybody that has been or is in the military should know what a "bite" is....
Sorry dont know how do define it in "american" but a lot of people have bitten... ;) ;)

Anyway the way I see it nothing is going to change no matter who you lot vote in, the environment is still going to get raped, there are still going to be wars, soldiers will die, people will be made redundant, others become millionaires and will seek solice in "stuff" that brings them no meaning and therefor think they need more stuff, etc, etc, etc.......

Its called life and we will always disagree with one another about something, that we can agree on! ;) ;)

We do have spell check. Its called translation.. :D Sooner or later we would have been in Iraq , I think it was easier to go there from Afganistan then it was to leave and have to go all the way back again... I knew the minute we atacked Afganistan that Iraq's days were numbered.... It was just too easy at that point to go and finish off the work that had been left undone before..

Just a quick response to the "sustainability" earth that someone brought up, way back in this thread...

We really can't destroy our earth in any reasonable amount of time, and humans in some form will be around until our sun goes supernova.

If you think drilling for oil in Alaska or driving your Rover to KFC will somehow contribute to the Ultimate Desmise of our planet, you don't have a proper appreciation for the resilience of earth or humanity.

Not even a nuclear holocaust could be as bad as the cataclysms of the various ice ages--or Noah's Flood, if you're of that mind. But we got through all that with spears, loincloths, and a smile on our face. An epidemic comes along every now and then, thinning us out a bit. But we're never any worse for the wear.

Bush and Kerry are both just insignificant little turds, whose influence affects us only in the superficial ways we love to bicker about. So drive your gas-guzzlers, eat your supersized french fries, kill your terrorists, shoot your guns, waste paper, spike your trees, hurl your racial epithets, throw away your six-pack rings without cutting them, cheat on your wife. Just live. Do what you gotta do to sleep well at night. There's no "cause", no right or wrong.

My favorite Kierkegaard quote: "Far from idleness being the root of all evil, it is rather the only true good."

Actually our mission to Liberate Kuait was successful. It wasn't in the best interest of America's national security that he be removed from power. We couldn't let Iran move in on Iraq. It's a fucked up world.

We usually don't see eye to eye on most things, but I will agree with you here :D

I agree with that.. You're right in the big picture of things nothing will change.. But, over here in our little picture things will change.

I dunno-I was shot at an awful lot while I was enforcing the UN's No Fly Zone in Iraq. Those friggin bastards shot at us every day for years and once in awhile they hit something or someone. That, of course, was in violation of UN mandate... oh yeah, everyone forgot about all the violations of UN mandates. Apparently the USA took it more seriously than the UN because WE had to do a disproportionate amount of the work. Also remember that the US is not alone... there are MANY other countries helping out. Screw France by the way.
I say hoorah for every one of those mofo's that eats American made lead.
