Project update
With the sliders installed we played around with them a bit. Heres a quick review.

For the most part the install went quite well for these 3 bolts

But this one below was a little bit of a challenge. You needed to be spot on when drilling the hole.

As you can see in this picture the top of the slider fits snugly against the sill. You get to mount directly to the frame and still use the sill for support.

Over all We think they fit the truck nicely.

coming down the pipe soon will be diff guards. As you can see from this picture we are on thin ice.

Project update

The new Terrafirma Disco2 fender flares came in and we did a quick mockup to see if they're going to work.

You can see from this picture we are getting a serious amount of rub.

Once the flares are installed I think we'll have plenty of room.

Unfortunately we're going to have to remove the sliders and trim them a bit, but I feel the benefits of having a 33 inch tire out ways this little bit of extra effort.

The back doesn't appear to be having as much interference as the front and will not require much trimming at all.

Yes
They do not require you to trim anybody worked on the D2. They are wider than stock to compensate for larger tires.

The exhaust work was done at Rosch Creek. What you're hearing is just the front cats. Everything after that was removed by rocks.

Project help please

When talking to people about this project everybody has a different opinion on what size lift we have.
Hopefully we can clear this up. If anybody has access to a P38 with stock suspension could you take some measurements for us?
I would love to know the measurements in standard mode from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender front and rear please.

This is what we currently have on our project.
The front

21.5 inches

The rear

22 inches.

Just for reference the 305/70/16 tires on the truck

32 3/4 inches

2001 4.6HSE, new RN standard height coils last installed in July 2012.
19" front
19 5/8" rear
28" tire 255/55-18

The coils are slightly taller than the standard airbag ride height, but no more than about 1/2".

FWIW, "Standard Height" is defined as when the distance between the bottom of the Bump Stop stub and the axle plate is 100mm +/- 4mm for the front and 105mm +/- 4mm for the rear axle. Not a fender measurement, but it should be able to be extrapolated pretty quickly.

we saw some trucks end up about 1.5" taller with the RN or whatever conversion kit. I don't know if it was a regular or HD kit though.
