I see you aren't above resorting to personal attacks and name calling now too you little prick.

Mr HunterAK, I do not think that you have half a leg to stand on in this department. You started personal attacks on me, my second post.

Still curious whether or not you speak like this to people face to face or not. If not, I highly recommend that you start putting a picture in your mind that there are actual people on the other end of the wire.

Dude, you've been posting on here a while I see. Have you not seen this before or something? I have had worse treatment than this BY FAR. Im opinionated like others on this board. Everyone gets into a little back and forth, montanablur is no stranger to this... I don't agree with your position on Palin and I think I have more than a leg to stand on. If you can't accept that other people might not agree with you, I can't help that, but you're not going to change my mind. And yes, SOMETIMES, my debates in person get heated much like this, but I keep everything civil. Did you not see the comments montanablur made about the character of Alaskans and their motivation to live here and even worse, the characterizations of the ones that are born here? I'm curious why your comments aren't directed at him as well. ????????? Is it because he shares the same sentiments as you do?

Montanablur, never called my opinion moronic or me an idiot. You did. Its not more complicated than that, so don't read anything else into it.

I have seen this before. Done it before, but no longer resort to name calling. I cannot imagine calling someone an idiot to their face, unless I was prepared to deal with thier reaction (which in my neck of the woods could be quite dramatic). I feel the same about online discussions and try to keep them just as civil.

I know other people do not agree with me, so acceptance of this is not an issue. It's my opinion that once the personal insults start in a discussion that arguments have less legs since the discussion is now emotional, not objective or factual.

Don't forget also that I kind of stood up for Palin, at least in one post, remember, she is the only one with executive office experience?

Unfortunately, you misunderstood this post, it was not a stab at McCain, it was actually just a clarification of fact.

At any rate, I am done preaching. If you don't get it, sorry.

I have been on the summit of Denali twice, spent months on the Ruth glacier as a product developer for The North Face, I've attempted to climb the Moose's tooth, my parents had a summer home in Eagle River, I was one of the first skiers with Scot Schmidt, Jim Conway and Doug Coombs in the early 90's to develop Valdez heli-skiing in the southern Chugach Range out of the Tsania Lodge when you could fly for a $100 poker chip, my friend Dean Cummings still operates a service out of Valdez ...

So yeah I've spent plenty of time in the state, I didn't come up with that saying, I heard it while there. I thought it was more of a local joke...

You have to admit it takes a special breed to live there year round you fucking mook.

Montanablur you have a hell of a resume as an athlete for sure, but spending time in AK and living there 365 are two different things. Most native Alaskans would refere to us as tourists. Dealing with no daylight and cold all the time is different from visiting for two months. Work the north slope or be a trooper up there when your the only cop for thousands of square miles before you claim to be an expert. Not name calling or making a personal attack here just pointing out what most Alaskans I know would say.

My father in law raised a family up there as a bush pilot on the Bristol Bay after he left the Air Force. This explains why my wife is tough as nails and not afraid to fish with bears. Not much as far as outdoors impresses her in the lower 48.
