I love a manual on the street. Hate it off road.why on earth would you want a manual transmission in anything really drivable? So 80's and unmanageable.

I agree. My daily is a 6spd turbo. Its a blast except in heavy traffic. That said I love having an auto offroad. The crawler gear in the Bronco should be nice though. Ford claims you dont need the clutch when restarting in crawl gear.I love a manual on the street. Hate it off road.

Toyota has had something similar for a while. How on earth did they manage that? Why would you throw technology at a manual transmission? Maybe I'm just old school.
Same can be done on a D90 manual in low range. It is very cool on a very steep hill.Ford claims you dont need the clutch when restarting in crawl gear.
Which on some cars was considered a “racing” pattern. My ‘71 914-6 had this pattern. All first was used for is get going. Reverse was above it.Yeah I read the crawl gear is under reverse to the left and down from all other forward gears.
People can drive stick shifts. Not unmanageable at all.why on earth would you want a manual transmission in anything really drivable? So 80's and unmanageable.
Driving a stick on the road is not the same as offroad. Especially if the vehicle isn't geared low enough. The crawl ratio on the new Bronco is so low that it lets you start and get moving without needing a clutch. Pretty much the same as most offroad buggies with super low ratios. Ideal for technical sections or climbs.Driving a manual transmission is an art, make no mistake at all. Drive with someone on or off road who DOES NOT know how to drive one you you'll know exactly what I mean. I'm sure it's a cool feature but for the one who's mastered the craft is it entirely necessary? Also, seems to me it would take the fun/skill out a bit.
On the same topic. Anyone here ever drove with someone who can mix all 5 gears without a clutch? I have.

Never have I seen a group of car enthusiasts bash on manuals so much...
The Bronco sport looks to have an entirely different drive train. Like The Disco sport. Front wheel drive based vehicle. Why Would Anyone Buy a Land Rover Defender Over the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport?
The second (or more like sixth) coming of the Ford Bronco made a lot of headlines, but it also sheds new light on competitors like the Land Roverwww.motorbiscuit.com
Basically it's comparing the Bronco Sport to the Defender, so the argument is mostly bang for the buck. Not which one is hands down the better vehicle.
An Extremely Detailed Look Into The Ford Bronco's Engineering Designed To Take On Jeep
To get an understanding of how the 2021 Ford Bronco will stack up against the undefeated Jeep Wrangler off-road, I had to get nerdy.
