does that get staked in place? sounds like an upgrade for the manufacturer, not the consumer

Had to go look it up myself, as somehow I hadn't heard of/seen these before. It gets staked/crushed onto the flat of the spindle. Interesting...

I just ordered up new bendy washers to adjust mine, and remembered this thread. So, I thought I'd check in on it.

Jimmy,

I have had a set on my 99 D1 for the last 6 months and have covered about 6,500 miles in that time. They have preformed flawlessly. The vehicle just passed it yearly safety inspection and I had the Tech check the front wheels for play specifically and he said they were tight and didn't show any play. I will keep you all up to date. But like anything Mark G. (ezzzzzzz) does this product is right.

Appreciate the feedback. How much offroading (genuine flexing, bouncing and other non-highway-like driving) have they been subjected to?

The bendy washer works but it is still a PITA. My kits allow you to install, remove and reinstall as often as you like. It takes mere minutes to set torque load and lock down. It's much easier than the washer method. There is no consumable part. The inner nuts are double pinned for more integrity. I've still got a few sets from the original run.
