I remember liking the L663's instrument panel and dashboard. That's where the love ended.

My only WAG is to make sure the refrigerant valves and pipes don't freeze solid.
But between this and effect of broken proximity sensor on piled-on ADAS functionality... it's just wrong.
An errant rolling car bumps the Rover and causes no cosmetic damage but $8,000 in electronics damage. This is the poster child for what's afflicting modern vehicles.

My daughter bought a 2019 D5, with around 50k mi. Near 65 kmi mark, I paid 3k to have all crossover pipes replaced and other work done. Under that supercharger, the pipes barely last half as long as in 5.0.
It has also been dinged from the front by a neighbor's wayward Mazda rolling slowly downhill. The exterior damage was naught - I popped the grille back and everything looked great. But it broke the front proximity sensor (which disabled cruise control) and ambient temperature sensor (which disabled A/C, in a black vehicle). The total damage, paid by the neighbors' insurance to some shop contracted by Hornburg, was about $8k.

I like nothing about this vehicle. It feels like driving an overpriced minivan.
The worst part about that is they have now released aluminum pipes to replace the plastic ones, so the ones installed are obsolete.

I pulled the warranty history on ours and it had coolant pipes, windshield, and timing chains done within the last two years.

I’ve been following the message boards since I got my disco in 98. I’ve not been keeping up or know if any of the old regulars are around, somebody upstream said ptshram was gone… I need to go back and read this from the beginning.
He's still out there. He shows up in some facebook Rover stuff.

I haven't seen the new aluminum outlets yet. I heard about them. The aftermarket aluminum ones are supposed to be junk.

As the new owner of a Discovery Sport we'll see how much raving I do about that. So far the only thing I can report is that I have been driving a 2025 D110 for two weeks while the dealer replaces a USB port in the Sport. No experience yet driving my own car, but the loaner has been fun. Still not sure if I'd want one, but it drives mighty nice and has some features I like. On balance I like my LR3 more.
USB port?

interesting. I can see that but why so long? I went back to work part time. I'm seeing a lot of really messed up stuff. All I do is problem cars and I never run out of them.

I think you'll like the car. When they first came out the rear suspension was so improved that there was no good reason to buy an Evoque

If the cruise control didn't work after the bumper got hit it was probably just a bent bracket the cruise module sits on. $36. Since the bumper cover is soft it goes back to normal shape. The bracket not so much.

Have yet to lay eyes on or confirm with a dealer myself but this is the best evidence I’ve seen. Clearly better quality than the knockoff aftermarket ones. Cross reference part numbers

Hah. Duh. Did not even think to go to image mode, just google and found the standard parts for sale and stopped.

Thanks.

I’ve not seen anything about an OEM aluminum for the rear. One or two aftermarket options (RKX and EuroAmp) but even those I’ve not been able to track down much info on
