On my front DS, the standard zerk would hit the PS cat. On the BF joints, Peter described the issue…outside of that, it's just a habit I developed and really doesn't make a difference

If you're running heim joints, replacing them frequently is the price you pay to have the advantages of a better articulating suspension.

I don't care if I have to replace them after every trip (which for me would be what, once every five years?) if my suspension performs at all as I expect and hope. But, I'm not gonna be foolish enough to run heims on the road.
