Got a 98 D1 with 81,+++ miles on it. Has ARB lockers front and rear, Rovertym front bumper with Ramsy RE12000 winch, Rovertym Sliders, Rockware gas tank skid plate, gbr rear axles, rovertym front steering setup.

Needs headgaskets, fabric is pulling away from the headliner, various other things like not all the doors unlock or lock using the remote or drivers door lock.

Was wondering if it is even worth trying to sell for $2000 as a whole truck, sell the bumper/lockers/etc, then send the truck to the junk yard, or just do what I've been doing and let it sit in the driveway till I either feel like wasting the money to fix it or it turns into a big pile of rust and plastic..

FYI parting does kind of suck if you've got a M-F job that does not involve you working in the shop that you're parting out of as well. Be prepared for 1198523405 requests for "what's shipping to -----" and then no response from said "buyers"

But all in all I did make a good small coin off my $500 parts truck which made it worth it in the long run.

I usually tell people that parting out their own trucks is a bad idea. The stuff that is worth money and the stuff that isn't you won't really know unless you have done it before. Whats do you think is worth more the heads or the fuel pump? The front door or the ignition? The answers might surprise you. In this case I would say sell all your off road parts which should bring you the 2 grand you are looking for then dump the carcass for 400 bucks or something.

Edit I mean sell it to will

Does it need headgaskets as in they are full on blown or just weeping?

As for all you vultures....I already inquired about the lockers:p

Well, if I decide to sell it I'll let you know Will T.. If I decide to part it out I'll let the rest of you guys know. Right now I'm still not sure what I want to do with it. When I figure it out I'll let you know.

you know there might be someone close to you'd that'd be willing to split the whole parting thing with you, maybe they have a lift and tools maybe they don't. you never know...
