Now for everyone who wants one of these things here it is. It cost less than $15 bucks and maybe 3hrs time. It looks as rugged as hell and will stand up to it. Now i wont feel bad throwin a tool on my hood ( seeing b/4 i did this it was the nicest pc of sheet metal on the Landy).
Oh BTW we had some pounding rain over the past few days and the sunroof did not leak at all
:D
I DID IT MYSELF,,, i like to do as much as possible with this as i can, KNOWLEDGE =POWER

I just thought I was stupid, must be. I just can't find the "Hey guys tell me what you think of what I did to my truck, by the way if you don't like it please feel free to bash the living hell out of me for daring to post this picture here, and not be appreciative of your sage advice, oh and don't forget to look for anything about my truck that you don't like that you can use to challenge my character" question.

I have so much yet to learn.

I had pulled out all carpet & padding in cargo area and used "Herculiner" do-it-yourself stuff. I had a bit of a water problem and as a result a rust problem.

The simple fact that he posted a pic on DiscoWeb for everyone to see is evidence enough that he wanted everyone to see his work.

Got it. Of course if I were to pull a picture of my family out of my wallet and someone rendered a rather unfavorable opinion of their beauty or the accuaracy of my understanding of the genetic line leading to the birth of the offspring, would any one really fault me if I responded in a terribly harsh and physical manner? Based up on the post I have read here there seems to be the sentiment, spread across the mass, that the folks here love their vehicles at least as much as their families.

It just seems sometimes that it is just unecessary. And does not serve any purpose other than allow someone who may be getting the short end of the stick some where else in their life to give it to some body.

Seems mean spirited just for the sake of being mean.

:(

What the hell do I know though.

Dan,

You fail to see the difference. The picture of your family stays in your wallet, only to be pulled out whenever you deem appropriate, rather than posting on a BBS for all of the internet to see.

Here's an analogy... take a that picture in your wallet, make a T-shirt out of it and walk around in public. If anyone makes any good or bad comments, well... you asked for it.

not at all, Dan. I admitted in my posts that what Adam did is against my own "rules," and I don't care about imposing them on anyone else. Say, I don't like being considered a poseur, but I don't care if someone is okay with that.
However, sometimes people do things that are just wrong, and being "mean spirited" may save somebody aggravation in the future. I believe Kyle and John saved people a bunch of money and time by expressing their opinions in rather abrasive manner.
For instance, I would think I did Adam a good service if he ripped off the CT and G4 stickers. I can't help the paint job, though.

Hey Adam, I like it. Koby, P.M., what would you recommed for a black hood? White-out? If I ware a race t-shirt, does that make me a poseur also? Or a redneck? Since I never acutually participated in the race. Tact, that's how we offer our opinion without offending people. So there's no need to say "no offense, but..." Well said Dan.

I don't like hood black-outs. They don't work for reducing glare at all... they're just for looks. My Disco will never have one.

If you like 'em that's fine, it's your prerogative. However be prepared for comments, both good and bad, if you post pics on the internet.

LOL... OK Craigers gotta call Bullshit on this one.... :D

up here in big sky country it's quite helpful
you know where the air is clean and clear
besides why would you need glare protection, isn't that what LA smog is for... :D

Adam, good for you for doing it yourself and taking the heat of posting it on here.

As far as the CT decal, I'm all for raggin' on the posers BUT how is it being a poser having a CT sticker on your L.R.? Even if a person did not partake in the CT they could still believe in the idea of it or want to support the event (when it took place).
It's not like a sticker that says: been there, done that, MOAB! and you put it on your truck YET you have never been there.
