Haha, I got to page 35 or so then skipped to the end.. don't worry, they closed that thread at page 73. Another thread opened up afterwards though, you'll find out when you get to it!

Scott - good to see you on Dweb :D

Thanks Jeff.

Even though I own a Toyota now, I find that my travels and interests often align better with the Rover crowd.

James: I don't remember Kyle banning anyone. There was some tough talk going on between Kyle and Agro1, but so far as I know, nobody got banned (this round anyway... there have been allegations that he's banned people in the past for being critical, but I don't know anything about that).

Yeah right...That's why when I try to login using my home IP, I get this:

YOU HAD TO BE A MORON DIDNT YOU!?!?!
This is what happens when you cant act right...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Get your head out of your ass for starters. Dont Email whining that you cant get on now , just take your lumps and go away.
HTTP Error 403.6 - Forbidden: IP address of the client has been rejected.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Technical Information (for support personnel)

Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 403.
Actually , dont bother. They probably dont want you on that site either..

Roversolutions is Kyle's operation, separate from Discoweb. Ho and I have nothing to do with it, so why do I need to separate myself from something I never had any stake in to begin with?

So why is it in ever thread on this subject, you do everything you can to remove yourself, Ho and Discoweb from anything having to do with KVT and and Roversolutions ?

Don't forget that Ho or myself could easily have pulled these threads and buried the issue. But doing so would have compromised the integrity of the board. You did business with Kyle, not Ho, not myself, and not with discoweb.org

Yet you and Ho allow him to compromise the integrety of the site by banning me for criticizing his business practices.

Oh gota love peope named Andrew!. I think we all speak our minds :D

I'm usually very reserved, and expect that most people are good and mean well. Kyle is in a situation where he can't deliver for whatever reasons, and expects people to understand that this will be taken care of "soon".

What is soon?

My wife and I had a baby in less time and with less expense than what I'm dealing with here

I am as well but when I'm taken advantage of or treated like shit the gloves usually come off.

It doesn't say much for Kyle if you and your wife can have a baby in less time with less expense.

Happy Holidays Andy :)

David, Agro and I both were IP banned. I don't know if any others were or not. If they were, it's possible they don't know how to change their IP and still cannot log in. And, if Kyle were not (hopefully) so busy welding away, he'd have kept banning my IP range until he had all of Texas off discoweb (seen him threaten it before). I emailed Axel and Ho and asked them to tell him in private to lay off because his behavior reflected badly on them and this site (rightly or not). Don't know what happened, but I've stayed unbanned, so that's good - at least for me. :) I don't have anything else of value to contribute to this conversation, except to reiterate that if Kyle shows up again and you call him on his behavior you might very well get banned too.

I've little interest in sorting out the previous posters personal problems with Kyle, but they do raise an interesting point for the other moderators to help the rest of us understand the ground rules.

I have briefly made my unfavorable opinion of Kyle's business practices known in the now closed thread. So far no one has threatened or actually "banned" me. Yet evidence suggests that Kyle has a history of banning people he doesn't like or simply doesn't agree with.

Axel, Ho; What are the rules on banning someone who wants to express an opinion, albeit an unpopular one with a certain hot tempered, sharp tongued, slow delivery of paid for goods Moderator. If the content of the offense doesn't violate the posted rules of conduct for the forum nor grossly violates the santity of common sense, where then does the authority lay which allows Kyle or any one else to ban someone for simply stating their opinion?

And what if Charlie Wenzel had been a moderator instead of some dumb kid trying the cheat someone out of a few bucks, perhaps there would have been no one left on Pirates to moderate.

It's quite simple. There are 3 Admins in 3 different locations (NJ, MD and CA), who also own this site. The site is a hobby, and is with a few exceptions not run by committee. Any decision related to the site made by one Admin/owner is final, non-negotiable, and can not be reversed by any of the other Admins/owners.

In english: Pissing off an Admin is a bad idea.
