The never-ending Rack Thread

agro1, I was describing what happened. I think you should be able to say whatever you think, I've never told you otherwise, and in fact, I've defended your privilege to do so.

It does turn out that your initial reaction was on the mark, and if you'll notice, I was reminding people of that. Regarding your criticism of Kyle, I was pointing out that his apparent reasons for banning you were lame. I think you're overreacting to my post (a little touchy about criticism yourself, maybe?), but I guess you can interpret it however you want.

I've been trying to post only understated and non-reactive comments, and it was important to give Kyle a little time to follow through (or, as it turns out, not). I won't accuse him of anything unless I'm convinced he did it, because it takes away from my credibility when calling him out for what he did do (and he's done, or not done, plenty). If you think my restraint is 'mealy-mouthed', then piss off.

I don't care if I get banned by him. It would look worse for him than it would for me, and I think I could probably struggle on without DWeb, just like I somehow managed to do until three months ago.

But dude, just a suggestion: burn fewer bridges. Makes it easier to get around.

This seems so simple to me. He is either
a) the worst business person in the world
b) an enormous rip off/dickhead
c) dying/recovering from near fatal spotted yellow monkey fever.

Hope you are getting better, other wise it looks like B.
I would go so far as to presume only an idiot would not either reply or at least delete these threads.

(shakes his head in utter confusion)
I just have to say no and stop coming back to this train wreck.

Gotta go with B, and I'll bet you keep coming back:D

Rover Puppy:please step back from the "I'm just a girl" approach.

When I say "I'm just a girl" I'm referring to things that I do not understand. The things that "guys" seem to just somehow totally seem to know about and totally understand. It has nothing to do with testosterone or intelligence -- although that might be debatable at times :)

For example, something in my dryer has been making a squeeling noise. Last month a serviceman came out to and (of course) it didn't do it while he was here. Still, he lubricated the belts, told me everything was fine, and left.

Darned if it didn't start squeeling like a pig yesterday. Frustrated, I figured out how to remove the front cover. I looked through my "rover stuff" carefully reading the labels until I found a lubricant that said it was good to 600 degrees. Put it on the belts and the squeeling decreased, but it was still annoying.

I looked on my shelves again and thought ok, I can use WD40 on my truck, so it should be fine on my dryer. I stuck the red sprayer thing on the can and started spraying it on the belts while my dryer was running.

I'll bet the "guys" reading this already guessing what happened.

Scared the heck out of me. REALLY SCARED ME. Instantaneous explosion. Dryer on fire as well as the carpet under it. The flames came back to the can, which somehow (by the grace of God) I threw outside the garage and singed my hair as the flames went by. In a panic, I ran to get to one of the fire extinguishers in my truck, spray the fire, get my dogs out of the house, and call 911.

All ended well and the fire department guys said when they left that they were going to tease me about spraying the WD40 everytime they saw me. I told them that was fine with me, I was just glad that we were all ok. You should see the can, there is a puncture in the can with a burn hole. I'm wondering if that happened at the explosion when the flames went back to the can? I had quite a mess to clean up last night.

Anyway, yesterday I learned another "guy" thing:

You ARE NOT supposed to spray WD40 on things that are hot or already running.

Being "just a girl", I learned that in a very uncomfortable manner.

Wow, I never even thought of it that way. I'm going to remember that!

I dunno- I think women can be nasty towards each other on a whole new level. Guys tend to blow off steam and talk a lot of crap, but hand us a beer and a discussion topic that deals with some kind of machinery and we're all fine. Women hold grudges for decades because some other girl wore the same dress or copied a hair style.

You know, I bet more guys have done exactly what you did than "girls" have ever done.

PS if your dryer is like mine and 18 years old, its probably just wear and tear and time for a new one.

How about that: somewhere in the woods, there's a house where you've been told not to come anymore.................

Decent analogy, Peter, but you forgot something...There are a couple other people who live in/own the house and they have no problem with me - and I still like to visit them. When all three tell me to stop coming around, then I'll go drink someone else's booze and crash on their couch.

OMG JAMIE!!! I'm glad you are ok.......

I tried to spray WD-40 on my brake calipers once.....luckily, nothing bad came of it. It's just that you ASSUME that it's the wonder drug...like Duct Tape, everything can be fixed with a little spray!

Steve, not ALL women hold grudges for petty things. I could care less if someone else wears the same dress....just as long as I look better in it! ;)

Oh, and yes, I'm guilty of coming back to this train-wreck of a thread every so often.

The train wreck is getting rather boring, but I thought an update may be in order.

No word from him and 2 other emails to me privately looking for his contact info.

I'll give it until the end of this week until I post whatever information I can find on him, then everyone will have it and we won't have to send it around. I'll be contacting the Maryland AG's office at that point as well, so if you need that information, please let me know.

You might be careful what you post. Mr Wenzel was a user of the forum. Mr Van Tassel is a moderator. I would imagine your post would be eliminated rather quickly, and you would lose a resource. having said that don't quit trying to get your money or product, I just don't think it will go the same way over hear, and I would bet threats would be dealt with also. I am sure though that people are happy for the update.

And I would hate for others to lose this resource as well, but we'll all manage somehow if that is the case. If I were being an ass, being unreasonable, lying, trumping up the charges or anything else, I wouldn't expect this to last, but that isn't the case. I have stated the situation quite clearly, been very patient, and now I'm not.

If I'm banned, it will only strengthen my case. Remember, other than his post over a month ago, I haven't heard shit since last April.

Posting someone's personal information is not the way to handle this. If you have a case, persue it legally, or persue it man to man.

I disagree, the leverage of public knowledge can be useful. As long as the info is not illegally obtained, nothing to fear.

And The Captain is back! Knew you couldn't stay away.

And Kennith, if the other "man" won't show up to handle it, what do you suggest? File in Federal Court, have him served locally and attach the default judgement to non-existant assets? Costs more that $415 my friend, and the end result doesn't equate.

I don't care how the information was obtained. What bothers me is how it can be used. You found it, you keep it.

And yes, you should take the proper legal route if you still feel wronged.

Cheers,

Kennith
