My 10yr old son and I went last year and had a blast. There were lots of kids and they all played together. We took one of the open air buses through the park and it was great. Some of the animals (rhinos and wild horses) came right up to the bus. Green Oval Guild did a great job putting this event on. There were all kinds of things to do the entire weekend. The back country tour the last day was also fun.

When we got back my 14yr old son and wife said they are definately going this year. Especially after they saw the video Chris put together. Wish I wasn't so far away so that I could help with trail cutting.

So any updates on the event yet...

Yes.
The date is solid. Everything is planned.
Just like last year we will have Friday night cocktail hour, camping Friday night and Saturday night. Off-roading Saturday and Saturday night, and Sunday the back country tour.
The only thing is the final price. I will have it this week. The event fee will cover all of this for a truck and 2 participants with lunch on Saturday and the animal tour.
For those coming solo there will be a price break.

Yes we plan to cut at least 2-4 new trails for the event with talk of a nasty challenge area coming.

Thank you

Another neat thing..........they actually have newborn cheetah cubs this year. We will have to see if we can get a special close-up.

What time do you think things will wrap up Sunday?
I'm thinking I should change my day off from Thursday to Monday.

It normally wraps up around noon on Sunday.

Sunday is the back country tour, some break camp before and some after. No hurry getting out.
