I recently replaced the suspension bushings on my 89 RRC It took me a week of evenings to complete.
I removed one peice at a time and took it to a machine shop to have the old bushings pressed out. This cost $6 per bushing.
The replacement poly bushings were around $120

Shortly after installing a 2" OME lift I have noticed a roaring noise underneath the vehicle.
Particularly between 75 mph and 50 mph. It occurs during decelleration and momentarily upon accelleration within the above mph range. Any ideas as to what my problem may be?

I recently swapped all of my suspension bushings. The original bushings were completely worn out at 156,000 miles. I replaced them with a set of deflex poly bushes. Although it was alot of work, it is an incredible improvement of the road handling. Th jury is still out on the off...
I finished the rear suspension bushing this weekend. The upper link bushings were definatlly the most difficult.
I had to employ the services of a local shop to press out the old bushings. They charged
$6.00 each. Pretty steep but alot quicker than attempting to cut them out with hack saw...
These bushings attach from the frame to the top of the rear differential near the self levelling unit mount. I have already changed the lower arm bushings and had a similar difficulty with the hardware. Thanks for the response.

I have a question regarding the installation of the bushings for the upper link for the rear suspension. The shop manual states that the vehicle should be raised and supported so that the rear suspension is fully extended. Has anyone replaced these bushings without raising the...
I had a similar problem. When coming to a stop after driving at highway speeds my engine would rev in a pulsing fashion. I removed the stepper motor, gave it a good cleaning with carb cleaner and reinstalled. Problem Solved.

I didnt have any luck removing the armrests so I refinished the leather with the arm rests on the seats. The arm rests may release from inside the seats by removing the back of the seat, but I was unwilling to remove the back because of the way it was fastened at the top of the panel.

The old motors operated, they were extremely weak. In fact they would hardly move with a person sitting in the seat.
The process ended up being more simple than it seemed. I marked each motor as to its position in the cluster (bottom or top, front or rear). Then removed the front cover...
I am currently refiniishing my front seats. Does anyone know how to remove the armrests from the side of the seats. These seats are from a 92 RRC. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
