I'm about to rebuild my 4.0, looking for recommendations on parts sources. Going to try to find a used 4.6 crank and rods, so in addition to those looking for new crank/rod bearings, pistons, rings, gaskets, etc.

Answering my own question here. If you lock the radio you need to leave the key in position 1 for an hour _and_ you need to leave the radio on for that hour as well. The latter is what I was missing, kinda embarrassing I did not figure that out on the first try.

I found some 3M brand grip tape at Home Depot and it has held up very well on my sliders. No signs of sun damage in almost 2 years.
