Overall - ~108k on Odometer - 4.6L V8 from a 2003 DII, ~103k on Engine, using front cover from 2001 D2 - Transmission replaced in 2009 with one with ~45k miles (new filter & gaskets too), approx. 2k since then - Transfer case with CDL w/ ~50k miles on it - Color is White Gold...

So while investigating a slightly high temperature the other day, I found that the 40amp fuse going to the fan condensor was blown.. So I replaced the fuse, and since from what I read, the fan isn't supposed to kick in unless the ambient temperature is 82* F, I hot wired the relay to try it...

I've heard that the P38 rear diff's are different than the D1/D2/D90 ... what makes them difference? Is it just the housing? Are the internals the same? Would I be able to rebuild a p38 diff w/ a disco donor?

Does anyone have a picture or a good diagram of how to route the oil cooler lines on a 4.0 d2? I moved them around and now I can't find the best way to route them back to the engine. Thanks

Putting a 4.6 in my 2001 D2... engine ran fine when I pulled it, but was leaking in a few areas so I resealed it... I used my 4.0 heads, which I got pressure tested, and skimmed... I did not get a valve job done, and the machinist tested the valves, said they sealed fine, and the springs seemed...

So I just put a 4.6 in my 2001 D2... 03/04 D2 4.6 didn't come with oil cooler lines, and it seems like the holes in the 4.6 that were plugged are not tapped right for the existing oil cooler lines... I read a couple of posts on here, some people retapped them, others just plugged them and...

I'm rebuilding a 2003 4.6 to put into my 2001, it has 106k miles on it, and hasnt had any problems with oil pressure, but its in the affected VIN range... while I have the front cover off, I'm wondering if I should pull the dowels out for preventative measures... Has anyone successfully done...
