i usually shoot it from a standing rest but off hand i can keep it under about 3" at 50 and around 1 1/4" at 25 but i shoot a 4 or 5 shot group rapid fire since thats how do it at our big bore shoots.
from a standing rest with 347 grain solids taking my time i can usually keep 5 shots touching...
the 10,75 is a .423 bore & it actually a german cartridge. most factory ammo is loaded with a 347 grain bullet but if you want to go heavier just use 400-450 grain bullets designed for the 404 jeffrey.
one of the guys a shoot with has a mauser sporting rifle in 10,75x68 and two more guys i know...
my factory mas 36 sporting rifle in 10,75x68mm will be buried with me. its very light for a dgr and thanks to the brake its easy on your shoulder. the factory sporting versions of the mas 36 are extremely rare.
even though its one ugly rifle its still not as ugly as a remington
i haven't started inventorying them yet to see what i'm going to keep and it will be a while before i get around to it but i'll more than likely ask the market standard on most of them which varies quite a bit from manufacture to manufacture and condition. i'm keeping my swedes, gew98's, argies...
i have around 60 mausers and a few mosins but i'm getting more into british sporting rifles and customs so i'll probably start getting rid of some of my more common rifles and start concentrate my collecting efforts on sporting rifles.
here is what we have. it started out as an a-frame that was built by my uncle before he moved to the philippines. its had another section built and now can sleep 5 people very comfortable or up to 8 or 9 if we have to. its got a small kitchen in the a-frame side, bathroom and shower in the other...
at the range i shoot at they have some informal 200 & 300 yard matches that i may just have to try out with my latest toy, a finn m28/76. i finaly got some decent ammo for it so now all i need to do is take it to the range and try it out. once i buy me some dies i'll pick up a box of lapua...
there are several people here including myself who could make exactly what your looking for if we had some dimensions to work with, but it wouldn't be cheap.
i'd also say its best to start them out on a single shot but once their shooting buy them something neat.
my nephews favorite 22's are my polish wz-48 single shot mosin nagant training rifle & my gsg 5-pk, my gsg is the most useless gun i've ever owned but it is a blast to shoot.
i'd also...
there are two good outdoor ranges and one good indoor range once you get there.
the two best outdoor ranges are bayou rifles and pearland shooting club, the arms room has a nice indoor range.
both bayou rifles and pearland shooting club are private ranges and run about $140 a year. i'm a member...
he meant 18" barrel.
i'm running an 18" barrel on mine and i realy like it, i've had 16's & 20's on other rifles & i don't think i'll go under 18 anymore
night vision does work but a light is still very usefull.
i don't watch hawaii five-o so i'll have to take your work on that.
after shooting another guys rifle with a forward grip i liked it too, i wouldn't put it on my rifle but on a ligher upper i wouldn't have any problems with it.
i still...
that depends on what a fucking retard looks like to you.
i actually know a few people with blue hair & black nails, but they leave the tank tops for the fat assed rednecks.
some of the shit is actually usefull. a rail with a light is one the best things you can have on your rifle if you deal...
get whatever you want and fuck everyone who tells you otherwise.
if you want to make your ar look like a brownells catalog puked on it go right ahead it makes no difference to me & shouldn't to anyone else.
my ar is simple but heavy, its mostly a range toy but does occasional hog & varmint...
