Fuck that. I think your tires look awesome.

Agreed.

The KM1's on Tif's D1 are about shot. I may put my AT's on her truck and get a set of the Duratracs in 265/75R16, as I think that size looks good on my D2.

If I could run any tire for a Utah trip, including the 1100 highway miles there and back, I would go with the BFG AT every time. I had a set on a Tacoma I sold last spring and I really miss them now that all I've got is the KM2s.

Damn. My truck is not going to make it easy for me.

List of things to fix and do:

1. Faulty rear chassis harness causing unreliable fuel gauge. The harness for my early 94 is basically unobtanium. I'm going to have to pull it out and hope I can source the connectors from British Wiring to build a new one from scratch.

2. One of the rear DBA rotors is all scarred and pitted. Presumably got something in it on the last Utah trip. Not sure if the DBAs can be safely turned. I'll probably just buy a new one.

3. Dragging caliper in the rear. I know that these can be rebuilt but I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble.

4. Exhaust leak from muffler rottage.

5. Still need to install the mobile radio and get the antenna controller installed, too.

6. Need to re-do the rear cargo area. Hopefully I'll be able to get Ben, the Master Po of cargo areas, down here to help. :)

lol... I don't know about being a master of anything but I'm glad to help.

My own list keeps growing as the brown Santa keeps dropping parts off.

......it took me a minute to understand what you meant by "brown Santa".............my interpretation was very different.

But speaking of organizing cargo areas I just picked up a couple of new pelican cases to better store and organize my equipment for Utah. Going to be working on reorganizing that this weekend as well as fixing an exhaust leak. This trip may be 7 months away but I'm getting started as soon as can.

I would just replace the rotor. If you rebuild the caliper, make sure you get new pistons as well. It'd be worth checking the price of a new caliper vs the price of the parts to rebuild it.

I pictured a cross between Steve McQueen and Richard Roundtree; a black Santa detective with a Browning HP in a shoulder holster over a turtleneck. Add in a hot girlfriend and a painfully cool loft apartment and you're set.

Point of no return. Either I figure out how to make a new chassis harness or find one to buy...or the yellow truck never drives again.

On a side note, this is the most ridiculous wiring harness I've ever seen. There are no less than seven unique styles of connectors used on this thing. I'm not talking about different versions of the same style but seven different connectors altogether. It's almost as if they built this harness from random parts sitting in some guy's tool chest.
