I just rebuilt my rock lights and rack lights with this style. Quality seems to be ok but time will tell.

Weatherpack (what Ben used) would be nice but would require rebuilding much more than the chassis harness itself.

I figure that the stock harness made it 20 years and a factory replacement should make it t least that long. The problem is that they are impossible to find right now. Land Rover UK stockbook lists them as "obsolete". Rovers North is trying to track one down for me. Last resort is to source all of the factory-style connectors and build a new one.

So I called Josh at British Wiring and he thinks he can order a harness for me that will work or be close enough that we can modify it to work.

I'm also going to send him my old harness to reference. If he can't order one to match, he may be able to build one.

Crossing my fingers.

Chris,
If you have a part number, I can check for it in the UK and EU and you could pick it up near Colorado Springs. I don't have access to Microcat right now for the part number. I also a have crimper for Metripack connectors if you need to borrow one. Do you need the workshop electrical supplement?

Someone at Rovers North suggested that the part number may be AMR3086 but I'm not totally sure. It's a 94 ST without A/C, without rear wiper or rear defrost. Last 8 of VIN is RA934130.

Rovers North checked Land Rover UK and it's NLA.

Chris,

Nothing NOS on a shelf in the Netherlands, Germany or France that could be found. Four vendors in the UK also came up empty. I have one more UK call and then I'm out of ideas. I didn't call any breakers (junk yards ) which may be a last resort for you. My last idea is have one hand made, but I think they run in the £200-£300 range. The upside is you would get all the factory connection fittings and you get to contribute to the ailing British economy :)

Good news. I FedEx'ed the old harness to British Wiring a few days ago and it's now on its way to the UK to be replicated. I should have a new one in 4-6 weeks. Thanks for the help, guys.

In the meantime, I have a HF radio to install, a cargo area to build, and a brake rotor to replace.

Just picked up a Kenwood TH-F6 on fleabay for $200 - what a difference. I can use the buttons according to what's written on them, and things work as expected!
And it is kind of cool to have a receiver working from long-wave band to 23cm, with all emission types.

I'm rocking a Yaesu VX8-GR with APRS for your stalking pleasure. I'm looking to pick up a mobile setup around Christmas. Something relatively cheap and lower-tech than my HT.

My wife is buying me a chainsaw for Christmas.

LOL... Stihl?

I'm rocking a mobile dual band Yaesu FT-10R, with a Diamond 770 dual band antenna attached to a Diamond motorized 'hello kitty' mount. I'm rocking all that on my work bench...lol
