Here is a brand NEW bumper that we just bought in eBay, from bottorf fabrication for discovery II, It arrived full scratches from the factory since the standard for this company is to ship their products with bubble wrap only (see picture).

The manufacturer policies do not allow returns, so we got stuck with a bumper that it does not meet our expectations so we decided to sell it, hopefully we find someone that likes this item.

This is hand made bumper so the fabrication is OK, the bull bar is off from one side to the other, it's not symetrical, from a close distance is very visable but from far away looks great and nobody will notice but you.

The picture on the white truck is not the actual bumper, It was taken directly from the manufactured website bottorf fabrication which looks different of what they advertise. The other are the actual bumper and only some of the defects.

It comes with fog lights option.

The installation is pretty easy and fast, besides the original bumper you need to remove the "crash cans" that absorb the impact between the bumper and the chassis, and then attached this massive"110 pound" baby directly to the chassis, unfortunately ths alters the proper function and timing of the air bags.

We purchased a ARB bumper (the real deal) which is more expensive, but much better fabrication and safer. If you are on a tied budget, you don't care much about detail, and you like this look this the perfect bumper for you.

We paid $725.00. This is a BRAND NEW item, it has never been installed. Make an offer.

how many times must RTE be solidified in this market? yeah, their finishing (powder coat) could be better, but this would never happen - regardless of ownership.

Rovertym under JBS and Steve was as good as it ever got. Justin seems to be gaining a following but I have not bought much from him, most of my stuff was some time ago.

Don't be so quick, some would say that Nate is following their playbook, but doing it even better.

Comparing Bottorf with SafariGard is laughable. SG made some good stuff in their day, which I'm sure you never got to experience first hand because of your case of cheapfuckitis. They built the first decent bumpers for Discos and their powdercoating was fantastic. RTE came along and improved a few design aspects, but made the products worse looking.

This Bottorf guy makes nasty looking stuff that I can't imagine ever installing on a truck.

I have installed almost every part that Safari Gard made. I NEVER got all the parts that were supposed to have been sent with them-in their defense, Mary did get everything to me next-day.

Sadly, Casey was worse.

I am NOT a fan of powder coating on an impact-friendly item.

I'd apologize for whatever I did to offend you and to attract your ire, but I'm at a loss.

Last year I bought and installed a used SG bumper on my D2. Aside from a bit of pitting on the inside of the skid plate where debris accumulates, this thing is in great shape. No bubbling or peeling powder coating. A few very minor scrapes and scuffs but the powder coating doesn't peel away from a damaged area like most other cheap coating jobs I've seen. I had intended to soda blast this thing down to bare metal and have it professionally powder coated but there was no need.

There is no excuse for shitty finishes on products as expensive as full steel bumpers, sliders, racks, etc. When I see this shit rhino-lined I absolutely cringe. Hell, even an absolute cheap fuck rattle can finish is better looking than the fucking bedliner muck.

Maybe if your company is called Buttface Fabrication I could understand a crappy product.....
