Been gone over the last few days. Monteagle would be my preference, then perhaps Harlan. Im in Western KY, so windrock will be quite a haul. Plus Ive already been to windrock. Never been to Monteagle or Harlan.

Ive heard good things about Monteagle from the TN Rovers group and that area is really nice. I can touch base with the TNRovers bunch and see if anyone there would like to go. Maybe get someone experienced with the area.

Ive also heard that Harlan is gotten pretty extreme and caters toward the trailer rigs. Plus its a 6 hour drive for me and I need to make it back in one piece. She's my daily driver and only mildly modded. But, if we can get someone (Anthony) familiar with the area I suppose I can succomb to the drive out there.

The dates mentioned are good with me. I would prefer a weekend trip as Im tied up during the week. First set would probably be more feasible with the holidays. Camping would be great.

Should we get a vote on the when and where? And wether you are flexible or not.

I'd like to chime in for Monteagle, 16-18.

But, Im flexible

John,
Where is Monteagle in comparison to lexington? Im in if Anthony buys my winch :D
I believe its just northwest of Chattanooga. in between C'nooga and Nashville. It'll be a good 4-5 hour drive for me.

Turkey Bay OHV is another option I suppose, which is northwest of Nashville in Land Between the Lakes Park, KY. I was out there for a couple of hours last month and its not too bad, not great, if you dont mind fighting the 4wheelers and dirtbikes. Id prefer Monteagle as it is supposed to be pretty nice.

I already had OME HD springs on but i installed isolators top and bottom and mounted the Interco Trxus MT's 265/75. I still have to get the locker installed and On board air setup as soon as i can find push to connect fittings

as as for where we go , i am up for a 4 or so hour drive in any direction from Huntington wv. and i am up for anything from mud, to deep water, to rocks. I'll just have to bring pl;enty of oil

Guys, I hate to commit to anything right now, but if you decide to go the Monteagle route, post up on SOLAROS's website. Many people there familiar with the area. FWIW, TNRovers doesn't have a whole lot going on. Best to check with the SOLAROS crowd.

yep, TNrovers has been rather stagnant over the last year. I went to TAR 04 and had a blast. Hasnt been any activity since. Steve, you in for monteagle? Are you a member w/ solaros? I may try to post over there and see if someone is interested in a trip that weekend.

Turkey Bay or Windrock is still a viable option for me. Harlan is 6+ hours. I havent been to windrock since TAR 04 and Ive heard they have made tons of different trails. Whaddaya say?

Hey John, I would be interested in joining your little trip. What about the good old red river gorge/ natural bridge area? It's gonna be a long drive from Louisville wherever is decided.

windrock would work for me. espcially if it works for you, considering your driving the farthest...it helps that windrock is 1.5 hours away from me :D
