Hey John, I would be interested in joining your little trip. What about the good old red river gorge/ natural bridge area? It's gonna be a long drive from Louisville wherever is decided.
Sure. Anyone is welcome as far as Im concerned. We just need to decide on a date and location.

there are several local guys here that have been to windrock several times. they say there is a nice hotel for ~50 dollars a night not far from the trail head with a shoneys next to it for breakfast. honestly, with the way the weather is being, i wouldnt mind doing that at all. also, do you mind if a couple of guys from the local club tag along? theyve been to windrock several times recently, and know their way around.

Correction: The hotel is located in oak ridge ~15 min from the trail head, however on the way is a permit office as well as a gas/air station. im 90% im going to be staying there.

As of right now, a Monteagle trip is in the works with a couple guys from SOLAROS for Dec 10th.
Check their site.

LR Nashville is still take'n their customers out to Monteagle every now and then. I believe a few trails out there are still legal.

Windrock sounds fun too... how is Windrock for stockers?

I went to Windrock 7/04 and had a freakin blast. Off the trails Ive been to in the last couple of years I rank it the highest (RRG, URE, MAR, Turkey Bay, etc). There are trails for everything from stockers to wild. They have maps available that will give the level of difficulty of the trails. At TAR 04, there were quite a few stockers that made it the whole weekend without damage, and a couple that took some dings. I think the only downfall to Windrock at that time was all the motorcycles and 4wheelers.

Im in for camping or hotel. Camping sounds kinda fun. But, freezin my ass off like we did at RRG last Jan wasnt.

I may start a post over at TNRovers about the ride, maybe get a few more.

So, we have Richard, Jon, Blake, and me for sure. Anyone else Im missing.
