CROC aint shit.
Please explain?.. We had just as many attendees last April as the ONS even in October. Close to a 100 people. Most of them being the same people that attend both events.
Since becoming a club officer I hear about all this drama from years ago between the 2 clubs.
I think its funny that people are still caught up in this drama even though the people who it involved are no longer around.
We have the event to bring people together with common interests (land rovers). We dont really have an agenda.. We book the campsite and provide dinner and raffles.. The event basically runs itself.

Mike, have you ever been to a CROC event, or are you just going by hearsay?

Mike was at the same CROC event that I got the T-shirt from the year before with the Rovaguy emblem added to the tramp stamp area.

again, as previously said; that was the old guard.

btw, Im typing this from one of those new Samsung touchscreen jobs at a kiosk in bestbuy, this thing is fucking sweet.

Exactly..We are aware that we cant make everyone happy, but we are open to suggestions or constructive criticism.

Personally I go to these events for camaraderie and the chance to wheel with fellow Rovers.
The T-shirt.. food and raffle arent deal breakers for me. If people are still holding on to some drama that happened years ago.. then its probably best they dont come!

been there, done that. great truck, but requires a lot of corrosion control. the best way to get a clean one is from a fire brigade, which is true for most trucks from europe.

That is f'n awesome. I looked at a 79 G230 once, and wanted a SWB GW ever since.
One thing people overlook in their quest for truck modifications that for $20K one could have a 2003-2004 G500 - with most of the stuff already built in.

I've been considering the G500 lately.

I think we've had a breakthrough...everyone is looking into owning other vehicles.

now that the cat is out of the bag...I'll admit when my D1 finally shits the bed, I'll probably look into other makes or do something buggy based.

Tom,
fwiw, i've been wheeling with the Rover crowd since 2001. most likely im just a disgruntled old fart now like garrett. just because my join date here is 2010, doesn't mean im new to this crowd. but that is a good assumption you made.

... newb.

Interestingly, it appears as though my join date is the date of the "new" discoweb.

When did discoweb first start, btw???

WTF? Why does that look like a G-wagen with Rover siding? What kind of bastardization is that?
