West coast wheeling is part of normal life due to forestry. East coast wheeling is having connections to landed gentry who grant permission to hold gay outdoor cooking contests disguised as four wheeling. South east wheeling is chew, four topless babes with daddy issues, and mud.

you know...discoweb is (was) an awesome place for Land Rover fanatics. I am so fucking sick and tired of every damn post turning into a match of who has the biggest dick.

So...with that being said I will add fuel the fire.

I guarantee I wheel my truck harder than 95% of everyone on this forum. I love my truck it is totally a weekend toy for me. I rarely drive it unless it is over Volkswagen size boulders.

If I have shitty suspension geometry....who cares.....

If I have too large of a lift.... who cares

If I have tires that are too big....who cares

If I have taillights held in place with zip ties..... who cares

If I haven't washed under my hood in 8 years..... who cares

If i have more bent body loneliest than straight one..... who cares

Its my truck and I wheel it hard and it has always gotten where I wanted to go....

I wish dweb would go back to a place where people with like interest can ask questions and get answers.
:applause: I agree.

His questions was answered. He basically asked how much trimming is involved with his setup and 35s. It's a vague question since all springs sag differently and each truck is slightly different. Ten years ago this was uncharted territory. Now it isnt. Hence all the replies about what he should do instead to avoid just trimming but still having issues. There have always been posts by members taking jabs at each other. This is the same dweb. There just isn't anything new going on with D1s and D2s.

The only difference is ppl aren't wheeling with these trucks as much except for PM it seems. He and Chris are the only ones who post trip shots regularly. The other difference in the LR community is more chaunces with Defenders. Not to say ppl aren't wheeling, I think everybody just stopped taking pics because everybody is older now and has been there, done that.

I know for me my interest have changed a bit lately. I still drive my rover but have a bunch of maintenance items to do so I don't drive it. Plus I have been focusing more on purchasing NFA items instead of going wheeling.

My shitty suspension geometry, zip tied lights, missing headlight, and crappy chunked LTB tires really hold me back...

We get it, you wheel it, do you want a cookie…We go out all the time and I didn't realize we had to post trip reports and pictures.

The reality is that the Land Rover community has never cared about whether or not it was being done right, just if it could be bolted up without to much hassle. Look at the the Safari Gard 3-link, it a fucking joke. Put one on with 35's and see if you can drive over 55 on the highway. We all took the word of the guy's who started building shit for these as they knew what the fuck they were doing. A 3" lift isn't going to fuck it up that bad, but 4.5" will. Take your incredible wheeling machine and do a quick high speed maneuver (hard over avoiding something in front of you) and please post the pictures of the aftermath…

touché. The only reason I posted those is because of this previous post saying noone ever posted pics. Just adding to the fun. When on dweb do as the dwebers do....

What this world needs is a few more Toyota parts. That's the only way to do it right.

I'll develop a 2UZ-FE engine conversion. It'll become the new best thing on D90. First it was 200tdi, then 300tdi, then OM617, now all versions of the LS. But it will bring more toyota parts to the table.

Cool story, Brah. :D
IDK who or what Branik is but I've never heard them mentioned when talking about Rover axles.

If they hadn't fucked Gary on his front axle, I'd have had them make my front half shafts.

Branik is a buggy manufacturer and does the machine work for Reid knuckles.

Moser warrantied their axles, but their reputation isn't what it once was.
