Being able to deny you of what you have purchased should be illegal and Apple should not be allowed to enforce what was quoted from the t&c's.

I progressively buy less paper media and more electronic (music and paperbacks, predominantly). I used iTunes store once, stopped using Barnes and Noble, and now it's all Amazon.

I found a way to up/download music to iPod without iTunes, and I am more than happy without it.

I had to do the exact opposite for work. s4 to I-sucks. so glad I didn't have to keep the I-phone, blackberry is better. the iphone is so....last year and I agree with kennith the windows phones are nice. you'd have to point exactly why your iphone is better to even begin to convince me.

It's not "better," it's more like learning to drive on the wrong side of the road. In the end it was just less hassle for me to stick with apple.

In today's day and age, there is an out for just about anything with every company.

They are training us to live with this sort of thing, as well as expecting immediate gratification.

I deal with it quite often when folks ask me for warranty service on antique Snap-On stuff that is either so old there is no way for me to do anything, or simply discontinued. You should see the look on folks' faces when I quote what the warranty really says.

I like my apple stuff but I don't buy iTunes stuff.

Another tech that I used to work with occasionally tried to get his Snap On F7 ratchet warrantied as a joke.

lololol did someone really say blackberry was better than iphone.... that is hilarious.

Shhhh... it is giggle worthy. We have had I-phones since the very first one, we personally love them. Chris really wanted to love the S4, tested out with a work phone and was back in an I-phone 5 with in two weeks. I just have gotten so used to mine, that it literally makes my head hurt to figure out another one. I do wish Apple would have stuck with the heartiness of the original 3. Our almost 3 year old has launched that fucker quite far, landing display down on hardwood floors with no marks or cracks on it.

I love Blackberry, and my Wife's new Z10 is as badass as any iPhone I've seen (so far). Sure their marketing is no where near as good as iPhones and they shouldn't have made there low-line models, but the high-end Bolds and new BB10 versions do everything I need very well. That said, iPhone does have 900 million apps, but a good portion of them are redundant, or only usefull for 15 year old girls. All that said, I don't do facebook, twitter, or stuff like that (which the iPhone probably does better). I only do email, text, outlook calendar, check d-web, and store some music and movies. So, for what I do, the blackberry works great.

I can see where it would be useful for you. I FB, twitter, and I am old and have had i-phones forever I don't want to switch. I have been on Mac/Apple for so long I have serious issues using any other lap top...lol

Our youngest is non verbal Autistic and 99% of the really good apps for him are i-pad only. He literally uses it to speak. That said, our 8 yr old daughter has a Nabi which is the android platform and she can easily go between it and the i-pad.

And what you said makes complete sense (and that is awesome that there are apps that can help your Son so much). It the people that make the blanket statements that get me. People just need to accept that some people like differnt stuff, and sometime there is stuff out there that is just as good. Heck, this is a land rover forum. Not exactly the pinicle of reliability or fuel mileage, but we love them and they fit our needs well.

True, it made me giggle because of course I have visions of the older Blackberry phones that I also owned and wanted to smash. lol
Yes technology is awesome, and I never realized the potential until I had a child who needed it. Then there are times it sucks when my 2 yr old is following me around using his I-pad to say, " I am hungry", " I want it" non stop. :D
I am going to jinx myself phenomenally saying this, I have been one of the few whose various Landys over the years have given me very little issue, but I am also anal OCD on maintenance.

I have used all three of the platforms mentioned and still think the iPhone is the most inflexible.

It is a preference thing for sure. I really wanted the iPhone to work and would have tried a blackberry but a DROID choice opened up... Thank god

The windows stuff looks pretty good now.

I am guessing that apple chose to make a backward ui just to make it harder for some people to switch.

I have no doubt that is why also. I am so used to all of it, windows and everything else is awkward for me. I was using one of Chris's windows machines the other day and I needed to drink heavily afterward...lol
Chris likes Mac/Apple as well, but he does partition his Mac so he can boot between Mac OS and Windows.

I would argue that iOS is incredibly intuitive. I had to google everything on jelly bean. Nothing was where it seemed like it should be.

I'd have to say that if you are used to Apple then everything might seem out of place on a Droid for the reason above.

I hate the I phone it is great for my 6 and 9 year old and my wife. if you have a small circle of friends that you want to Facetime it is probably the shit but other wise it sucks As I said to Dana the only people who like the I phone are people who have never had a Droid I was excited when they came out with IOS 7 I figured it meant they were bring it up to the 2007 Droid specs but it made a terrible setup even worst. My Fedex still doesn't work proper or even poorly on it they did make the messages so you could listen to them without hitting the button 7 times while getting bits of your message and a couple of near useless things but it still doesn't have auto fill on the phone numbers something very handy on the Droid if you call outside your friend circle.

And the first day I owned it I was pissed with the money grabbing of Apple I couldn't get my free apps without a Credit card and $19.95 for a card to talk to a service rep a lot of nickle and dime shit I wasn't used to

Just my rant I have to go buy a new laptop now and use my $800 I pad as a hotspot one thing it does to well... sometimes

I totally understand your aspect as well, I do know other businesses who have issue with it for a bevy of reasons. Chris did try droid out with a work phone and it drove him bat shit crazy with in two weeks and he went back to i-phone 5. His particular area of work is in line with Apple, so he can easily deal with it.

Apple has you exactly where they want you.

Not that intuitive. On mobile phones, iOS seemed the most different of the 4. But I don't have that much experience with windows mobile and the latest phones.

IMO, the reason you think iOS is so intuitive is because you are used to it. I don't think that it is any more intuitive than droid.

It seems that Bri dislikes Apple for the opposite reason why so many people liked Apple early on. Back in the early days, Apple was the little guy. They were the counter culture alternative to Microsoft. Now that they've become the big guy, they are now much easier to hate. They are no longer the underdog. The iron ice thing about it though is that Apple made its rise to the top from individual consumers. Microsoft had Office and it became the default platform for businesses and that grew the company to its prominent position.

The funny thing about it is that i bet you could say anything positive about apple and Bri would respond that you are right where apple wants you. I like the way it syncs documents in the cloud between devices. It just makes things so simple. If I add something to a spreadsheet, the changes sync automatically. It makes my life easier. Have I been duped?

I think that the terms and conditions with the digital content is atrocious, but to simply dismiss everything about Apple is contrived.
