The aux adapter is almost complete. I was totally off on the protocol stuff I posted earlier, and the wiring for that matter.

maybe another week or two

Its got a funky reset issue I've got to work out and takes longer to synch with the head unit that it should, but that won't take long to fix.

you know after purchasing a logic analyzer and spending most of the weekend staring at squiggly lines I'm probably going to renege on giving away the program. I'd throw them together for $100 plus shipping.

In theory it should work on BMW pioneer head units too. They are almost identical, and I suspect a certain repair shop learned how to repair the display lights from a post on the bimmerforum message board.

Since the first one doesn't work it's not a bad idea to have quadruple redundancy.

no kidding. theres probably 4 more in the glovebox. between the bad switches and the shitty arb compressor im always swapping them out

Looks overkill for this app

I went with atmel since I had experience with it and the arduino is just an atmel with the boilerplate to get it usable out of the box
