Right, you got the control down. Got it. How do you connect your audio source? 3.5mm cable?

yup. 3.5mm jack.

Reworked a ton of the code tonight and eliminated the timeouts and it now synchs up almost instantly like the OEM CD changer.

If it makes it to work and back as I bounce between FM and XM at the push of a factory button I'm going to call it good.

I love it. Stock look, extra functionality. What's not to love? Thanks for all the hard work.

I guess this is fine for edition 1.0, but it's a wonky set-up, IMO.

agreed. itll be 1/3rd that size by the end of the week, potted, and have some actual thought placed in mounting feet rather than 4 generic zip tie points. aux in brought closer to the other plug, not the back, and no round snap cover for diagnostics. i figure everyone who has removed the cd changer has likely put something in its place, so just copying the changer dimensions is no good, and that under seat real estate is too good to waste

and it made it to work fine, but xm had one of those mornings where all they play is crap

+1.
... and if you throw in Bluetooth into it, it'll be pure awesomeness.

its in the works, but that sounds like a good project to work on while watching college football so itll be a few months. ill probably offer a partial buy back when that happens

parts have been ordered. ill post up the estore link once ive got some inventory

ive de wonkified it as best i could. if its still to wankery, bummer

its smaller than a pack of smokes

And they are ready. I threw a post up in the for sale since this thread is a train wreck

www.flyinghorsesolutions.com

They are $120 since I underestimated some costs, but for now discount code is "discoweb" will knock $20 off.

it replaces the cd changer so it cant get too far away since the cd changer cable is only so long

so on my 95 its under the drivers seat. on my 97 its under the passenger seat

after the p38 clarion units. maybe as early as September.

grom already makes an aux and bluetooth solution for the d2 so theres not much point in reinventing that wheel, but ive got an idea or 2 in my head that grom would never consider
