Only two sides to this debate you are either fine with black folks being shot by Police or you are not fine with it.

"In 2016, the police fatally shot 233 blacks, the vast majority armed and dangerous, according to the Washington Post. The paper categorized only 16 black male victims of police shootings as ?unarmed.? That classification masks assaults against officers and violent resistance to arrest. Contrary to the Black Lives Matter narrative, the police have much more to fear from black males than black males have to fear from the police. In 2015, a police officer was 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male was to be killed by a police officer."
Reality check

I'm surprised you even addressed that comment.

That's a cute way of looking at it. Can a person not be ok with police shootings, yet at the same time realize that is not the biggest issue facing the black communuty?

And let's talk about those police shootings, many of which are justified. Where's the outpouring of concern for the police that have to deal with this scum on a daily basis? How about the concern for the officer that is faced with the "do I take his life to save my own" split second decision? You don't think that even a justified shooting/death takes a huge emotional toll on an officer?? How about these privileged athletes clean up their own backyard first!?

By the way, when is that lying scumbag racist Michael Bennett going to publicly apologize??

And some claim cherry picking and non substantive commentary when they themselves are against the wall with simple facts. Goodness, Ray. If it quacks like a duck..... Kind of like Clinton and Lynch on the tarmac, you would say nothing to see here, this is non substantive commentary and wasn't in the WAPO. The rest of America says, "Yea right!"

This has and will continue to be the core of our debates. We have fundamental differences on how we absorb information we see or hear. It's okay, different strokes for different folks. Doesn't mean I'm right, doesn't mean your right. That's what I mean by time will tell. I'm perfectly happy with waiting it out, you however, may not like it. Understandable.

I know you missed me on the Trump thread, hopefully this will tide you over.

I return back to my previous statement, unmodified.

Absorb things however you please-but when the reality TV show ends you'll be no better off than you were before.

As far as the NFL goes, here's a good look at the issue which basically comes down to what you think it is about (and what race you are): https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...t-the-nfl-protests-it-depends-on-how-you-ask/

As far as VPOTUS walking out, one wonders if that was to heed the call to create something nonsubstantive but juicy to cover up last week's amazing performance in governing and looking ahead to more of the same.

Is this what it is like to get tired of winning?

Opining seems to be theme here lately. Just as long as we all remember that.

I'd say it's been proven the narrative can and will be controlled.

Maybe Jerry Jones should concentrate more on managing the clock than worrying about benching players.

Saying that as a Green Bay fan (by marriage, I could give a rat's ass about pro sports but the wife is fm WI, a team owner, etc).

Words mean things. Words are important. That's not controversial, that's a fact.
Do your kids ask "can" or "may"?

Depends on the situation.

If we're paying for something, I.e. Restaurant, store, etc, I enforce the kids to say 'I want' I want more water, I want that shirt, etc.

If we're not paying for something I enforce 'may i'. May I have a glass of water, may I use your toilet.

Personally I don't care for 'can i'. You can do anything if you try! Asking someone if you can have or do something is not only poor grammar it shows a bit of insecurity. 'I don't know...can you?' I'd love to hear a waitress or waiter say that to a customer!

Brett is correct. Words are extremely important.

you know the more i think about this stupid topic the more i start thinking the race issue. it seems as though its getting to be a whitey telling the black guy what to do, the more the black guys resist the more it pisses off whitey.

the bitch of it, it didnt start this way but its starting to look more and more about race. race always seems to be the easy division with us.

once again who ultimately benefits by turning this into a racial issue?

Once everything is racist, nothing will be racist.
