Toronado,

Are you drunk? Because that song thing was pretty funny. Not sure how it relates, but funny.

BTW, Congrats on your new addition from the other thread!

Hmm...this woman seems to know a few things about Sarah. Interesting.

Wasilla apparently had zero debt when Palin was elected, she left it with 22 million of debt (3,000 per citizen!). That's a fiscal conservative?

Palin attempted to fire the Library director when that person refused to ban the books Palin wanted banned. This is freedom?

She increased taxes 38% while in office in Wasilla (and still left all that debt!). That's a reformer?

If we're going to make a fuss about Bristol...

NObama's mother (Ann Dunham) was 18 when she gave birth to NObama. Ann Dunham, born Nov 27, 1942. NObama born Aug 4, 1961.

This means her inception... 9 months prior... could have occurred when she was 17 just prior to her birthday... its too close to call... but safe to say she was also having sex before turning 18...

1st off, I've voting for McCain.

Secondly, Obama has taken a very classy approach to this. Basically he said politicians kids are off limits, then said he himself was the product of a similar situation. The nasty attacks may be coming from Democrats, but not from Obama.

There are arguments with some merit to be made regarding this situation, but trying to bring Obama's situation into this is a non starter. There are plenty of arguments against Obama, just are there are many arguments against Palin. But let's keep it honest.

She's perfect for Republicans...

She's already in an ethics investigation.

As she takes part in the Republican National Convention with Sen. John McCain, the abuse of power investigation facing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at home is charging ahead, and the governor is expected to be questioned this month, according to the lawmaker overseeing the investigation.

And what a chicken shit investigation it is! Read into it. Her ex son-in-law was a POS! Not to mention, she can fire whoever she wants. She's the Governor and he was pussyfooting around with the Public Safety Office. He's an at-will employee and was appointed by the Governor and can be fired by the Governor for whatever reason she wants!

Then he cries like a baby to the media. It's total horse shit. She wrote letters about this trooper (her ex son-in law), because he was drinking and driving in his patrol car and was never punished. He used a stun gun on his kid when he was a minor and he told someone in the Palin family that he would "put a bullet in their head" if they intervened in their divorce. Nice guy.

Maybe that's because sex-ed at school taught her how to bone and make a baby. Maybe she learned it from MTV or Teen Vogue.

Um, yeah... like teenagers could never figure out how to bone without being given a class. :smilelol:

I don't know all that much about Sarah Palin. But I would be willing to bet HunterAK knows what he is talking about since he lives there.

You're willing to bet or will bet? How much?

The French might know a lot about blow jobs but I dont need to go to Paris to get one. I also know sometimes you can be too close to a story and not get the full picture. Reporting and insight from a variety of sources is always best and I put Hunterak's opinion right next to the others...

Obama's mom isn't running for public office.

Yes, everything you said it factual, however it does not play into what we are talking about.

Being a fact and being relavant are two very different things. Let's keep the attacks above the belt. There is an overwhelming abundance of things to attack Obama about, the circumstances around his conception are not one of them.

A variety of sources on the internet? You're very well informed then I guess. You're an outspoken dem Toronado who represents about 1% of your party members' views. The silent majority for OUR party is still out there and we actually vote. So, yap yap yap all you want, but the bottom line is the issues about Walt Monegan being fired is a personnel issue and questionably does not even qualify as enough grounds for an investigation, but she's fully cooperating because she didn't do anything other than exercise the rights given to her as Governor which she earned when we elected her into office. Walk Monegan is just pissed because he stood up to her and got put in his place.

Alaskans are sensitive about the idea of abuse of power because our State Representatives have recently been found to have accepted bribes in exchange for votes from contractors of the oil companies (VECO). So, the legislature is ultra sensitive to anything in the political realm that they feel is "fishy". However, it will be shown that while she did have a connection to a State Trooper (A total fuckhead btw), her inquiries (in writing) to Walt Monegan about one of his people's misconduct was reprehensible and he did NOTHING about it. However, this was not why he was fired. He completely ignored her instructions on several budget issues and repeatedly took direct opposition to her wishes. She is the Governor. If he's off on his own agenda, he's gonna lose his job and she has the right to hire and fire as she pleases. That's how it goes, like it or not. She's ultimately responsible for the Public Safety Department and if he's not going to do what she says, she has the right to stiff arm his ass, which she did. Monegan thought he could stand up to her and he got BITCH SLAPPED back into his place and then cried like a little baby to the media because he was sooooo shocked that he was fired. Bullshit Monegan. If he had any relevant evidence on her, it would have surfaced by now. They don't have shit. It's a political ploy by a disgruntled employee on his own agenda.

Now, right after he was fired for completely ignoring her requests about the the direction of the Department, like I said, he turned to the media. A total bitch move and like I've said before, it's a CHICKEN SHIT attempt by someone who thought his britches were bigger than they were. He didn't even bother to file a complaint against her. No one has actually. Know why? It's f-n baseless.

Just like you've heard about her, she doesn't take shit from anyone.

But I guess you already knew this Toronado, or were too busy getting a blowjob from Peppy LaPue?

Oh Mr. Stevens? The one being indicted on 6 or is it 7 counts of corruption? Palin's name is listed on 2003 incorporation papers of the "Ted Stevens Excellence in Public Service, Inc.," a 527 group that could raise unlimited funds from corporate donors. The group was designed to serve as a political boot camp for Republican women in the state. She served as one of three directors until June 2005, when her name was replaced on state filings.

Even the Alaska papers are paying her little love. Let's face it and let's be realistic, John McCain is older than dirt and Sarah Palin is a heartbeat away from being the President if they are elected.

I mean really...

Wrong. Stevens is not being indicted on corruption charges. Do your homework before you pretend to know what you're talking about montanablur. I mean really... No, go ahead. Get on the google search and do some reading and then get back to us when you've got it straight. It's an issue of financial disclosures.

Also, the Anchorage Daily News is NOTORIOUS for being a wildly liberal-owned newspaper that has never given any love to the conservative base. Most people I know don't even read the paper anymore its so lopsided.

And LET'S be realistic, John McCain was a POW for over 5 years and served this country well. He is not a "good ole boy" go-with-the-mainstream republican candidate. He is by in large the best choice for America. Age means nothing here and its all you've got to grasp onto. It's weak and a pathetic position that you're willing take. Get a grip. Character is everything and his reputation in that regard is unmatched. I mean really...

As for Palin, she has served the State of Alaska well and has been a VERY strong willed Governor who has proven to stand up to those who otherwise would normally get there way. No.... Really.

"The indictment of a Republican senator on charges that he lied about accepting gifts from an oil contractor"

"charges that he took more than a quarter-million dollars worth of unreported gifts from oil services contractor Veco Corp. and its executives"

From Fox News: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,394342,00.html

cor?rup?tion
Function:
noun
Date:
14th century

1 a: impairment of integrity, virtue, or moral principle : depravity b: decay, decomposition c: inducement to wrong by improper or unlawful means (as bribery) d: a departure from the original or from what is pure or correct

Lying?
About unreported "gifts"?

Sounds like corruption charges to me.
