Definitely hot too btw. I attached a picture of her when she was "Ms. Wasilla" at the age of 19. Hottie? You be the judge. I say, hell yes.

If the Dems had nominated the standard whitebread male candidate rather than Obama or Hillary, would she have been McCain's choice?

I don't know, but it seems unlikely. This feels like a reactionary, defensive decision ...

reactionary and defensive? not sure. i think he just thought he could steal some of hilary's supporters. but he'll lose just as many for the obvious pandering. if mccain thought he was going to argue about the obama ticket lacking experience he just shot himself in the foot. today is a good day. mark it down. mccain officially lost the elction today.

...Creationism is religion and has no place in public schools...

Then we should not teach about the Greeks, just about everything in the entire k-12 curriculum that has anything to do with Greek history and mythology is based upon their religion.

We should not teach about the terrorists. Their ideology is based upon a freakish religious belief. We should not allow that in school.

Yes, I'm serious. Why would you need to say anything more than that about creationism in a science text book? Is science so stuck on itself that it cannot even tolerate the existence of a system of beliefs? If so, you cannot, at the same time, believe in evolution and believe that Obama will change America -- that is a belief system not based on fact. What beliefs do you have? None? If only the facts matter, there is no room for anyone's belief system, speculation, hope, or even discussion.

She's running for VP, not President. A little different ya think? Obama's been a senator for three years. Wow. Shot in the foot? Hardly.

She's also someone stay-at-home-mom's and blue collar Americans can relate to. She doesn't have millions of dollars, she is a member of the NRA, an avid fisher and hunter, and her son is in the military in Iraq. She has strong family values and 5 kids. You don't think that's bringing something to the table in this election???? Forget everything else for a minute....

All true, and all good things. But, do they qualify a person for the presidency in the event that McCain keels over?

After pumping out 5 kids that thing looks like an old catchers mit by now. No thanks.

Whatever, you'd do it and you know it. Don't let politics cloud your decision making ability as a.... straight man ? ? :)

You know as well as I do that administrations make up 95% of the decision making process, not one person.

So, the answer is yes.

Sure, but does Russia, for example, exert foreign policy decisions differently if Palin is suddenly thrust (insert joke here) into office? Hoping her inexperience could be exploited? Presence on an international stage is important ...

I think it might be too little, too late. *(&^$(# is everywhere. It will be a wonder if we can keep away from him.

Even a brief search on Google reveals that ^%#&^ has 170 million results, and McCain has 70 million. Hell, even I think of *^#*^% more than McCain! Now that's marketing. Now, those results can mean anything at all, but the point is, $&*&^@ knows how to use publicity. And I've just given the bastard 5 more results. Not happening.

Cheers,

Kennith

Maybe it is...

but it will work. I hope you are still enjoying your "present" in three months J.

People are going to like her, she is the anti-Obama, and she is everything that Hillary is not.

2nd Amendment?
Yup, Lifetime NRA Member

Dynamic Speaker?
Yup, she can hang with Obama and she will trounce Biden. She is likable, not crass and you do not get the impression that she is talking down to you. You feel like she is not above you, but is one of you.

Track record?
The best of any of the four. She came in, cleaned up the corruption, appointed people of ALL political parties as advisers, has a HUGE approval rating (I actually heard 97%), kept the Federal Government in check and is generally getting shit done, hell she even sold the State airplane (on ebay none the less) because it was a waste of taxpayer funds. She went after members of her own, as well as other parties and held them accountable.

Family oriented?
Oh yeah, five kids, one serving in Iraq, one just born in April with Downs Syndrome. Her parents were High School teachers and coaches. She was in a union and her husband still is.

She is a strong, stand up for your contituents, take no crap, ass kicker, and people are going to like that.

Most importantly (for me, anyway) she is not part of the Political machene that has produced the others. She did not get into politics for personal aspirations. She got into it to serve the people she represents, and to make a difference, and I think we need more of that in Washington D.C.

She is going to give people a person to vote FOR, instead of voting against the other guy...again. And, McCain is going to be a litte easier to vote for now.
