I wish Kyle the best- sometimes life can get in the way of obligations and the details aren't anyone's business (although they think it is).
When things get 'normal' I'd be interested in one of them fancypants racks...

"sometimes life can get in the way of obligations"

One could speculate that Kyle experienced some major trama in his life that derailed his intentions to fulfill business obligations. Obviously he has some friends that are willing to help put the best face on a bad situation because of their friendship - having friends is a good thing and their voices of support are a credit to Kyle the person.

However, vocal support of friends and a solitary note from Kyle promsing to fulfill his obligations hardly seems enough for someone who has sent money in good faith and has waited months past a promise delivery schedule.

I would hope that everyone owed merchandise or a refund has or will soon receive a communication directly from Kyle stating how and when he plans on making them whole. Anything less is just forum lip-service.

I never said it was enough- just that it's understandable that things can happen.

It's understandable that ANYTHING can happen. Clearly, something has happened in KVT's life that has taken priority over his work/commitments.
Anyone would understand that. Any reasonable person would understand and say, "Hey, no problem man, you're going through some tough times..."
But the problem is that KVT never gave his customers that opportunity. He simply fell off the map. So, people speculate, people bitch and question his integrity and threads like this get started.
That's not how you do business; under ANY circumstances.

Absolutely... I kinda feel bad for him, but then again I know what it's like to have a bunch of money spent on vaporware too. Hope it all works out.

I don't know KVT and have had no business dealings with him. So I wanted to stay out of this thread.

However, as a mostly lurker on this board, I have to say that I have a rather perverse sense of dissapointment that when Kyle resurfaced he no longer had his infamous "Blow Me" sig line. Just thought that would throw more gasoline on the fire. :)

Seriously, hope it works out for everyone.

Cheers,

Ted

So I have to ask Luke.
How many hours of your life have you spent doing anything for anyone that visits this site that you like to post on ? How much time spent on anything for anyone in the Land Rover world ?

This is not a battle you want to start with me.. Yes , you are entitled to your opinion and yes I give you the forum in which to do that in freely.
You are not however permited to tell me how to run my life and you are not on a list of people owed anything.

I suggest you go back to the other threads in which you dont offer anything to anyone.

Kyle - never once in this thread have I told you how to run your life. I've simply made observations about others experiences with you. If you don't like it, then learn how to keep your customers happy. I'm sorry if you've been having personal problems. Really, I am. But that does not mean I'm going to ignore the facts...
Correct, this is not my site, it's yours. So why would I devote any time to it other than enjoying it as many other users do ? Your implication, that becasue I do not contribute anything my opinion is worthless, is unfounded. There are plenty of others in this thread who have commented on the situation, and who are also not owed anything by you. Are you going to tell them all to stay out of this thread, too ? Fact of the matter is, I was told by someone here to get in touch with you to make a custom rack for my P38, similar to the backpack. After thinking about it, and then seeing this unfold, well, lets just say I've decided to persue other options...
You provide a product to the Rover community, Kyle. No one forced you to do this. You are also the admin on this site, that serves the Rover community. Therefore you have a vested interest in your public perception here. Don't get pissed at me becasue I make accurate observations about how you serve the Rover community.

Luke ,
Get it straight. If I was "Pissed" at you , you wouldnt have just made that post.
You not getting the gist of my post was exactly why you should stay out of it.

You simply are treading in an arena of which you have absolutely no knowledge at all and then posting about what I should do and how I should handle things. I realize its easier to talk then to do , especially when you sit and stare at a screen all day (Been there , done that) but how about sticking to the things you know ?

As far as the rest of the thread . I actually havnt read it. This is my first time on the site in about two months roughly and I dont need the blood pressure issues.

Last time..... Stick to what you know and let me handle the actual doing....

Luke,
Opinions are funny things. We all develop them, we all make decisions based on them, we all to some degree live by them. But opinions, regardless of accuracy or truth, aren't typically welcomed by those they are directed at, especially when unsolicited.

For a person in this thread with a gripe over a business issue with Kyle to spew forth an opinion is understandable. For anyone else to do so is simply a matter of throwing gasoline on the fire.....you are free to do it, but you may get burned.

We are all painfully aware that your opinions are forthright and poignant and often sharp and stinging. One thing they are not is responsible and discrete. There is freedom here to say what you want, when you want and how you want. But freedom of all kinds comes with a price. It's your choice if you are willing to pay it....and I think we all already know the answer to that.

What arena is that, Kyle ? If you're referring the "personal issues" you cited in your apology, then you are correct...I don't have a clue what's been going on with you.
But does it really matter ? Do you think it matters to your customers ? Especially when you don't/didn't communicate with them ?
I have numerous customers that I deal with daily. Many are Fortune 500 financial services corporations with massive customer bases of their own - all that I service, directly or indirectly. So, please don't tell me I have no knowledge of customer service. My business model would not exist without excellent and constant attention to my customers. I have a 24hr email/voice mail return policy. Nothing goes unanswered or ignored, even when I have "personal problems".

...puts down the popcorn...

Are threatening him with a ban ("Last time")? Are you serious? Let you handle the "actual doing"? Sounds like you haven't been doing any "actual doing" here for quite some time now.

It's not Luke's fault he likes to sit on train tracks, he was just born that way.

And with all do respect to an admin of this site: part of owning up is shutting up.

You're going to lose your chance to regain your reputation by proving your critics right with your big cock attitude. You were doing good with one post.

Can't stop, I just gotta ask...

If it is so personal, delete the thread and go on with life. It is a forum after all
seems if you are gonna put him in the band, there are many others here wh o have said similar in this thread. Do they all get banned?

He likes to sit on the train tracks ? You are kidding me right ? Because he types into a box on an internet forum ?
And James , I think you fail to realize that the work I get from this site might equal about 5 % of the orders I have recieved and filled. I know alot get stuck in this little world and think everything revolves around it but I am finding out that the forum scanners and the web surfers make up a small percent of the people that are buying . So I know it might be surprising to you. But complaints here dont equal me doing nothing.

And YES , if the others that were posting in the thread want to chime in and start flapping along with Luke I will cut them off as well.
Something was posted on a site that I admin. I have adressed that with the people that are actually involved in it. The others were posting in it simply out of boredom (Much like you right now) and in my absense I can see how that will happen. Everyone starts speculating on something that doesnt involve them because it gives them something to do (With no response from me its tough for me to complain isnt it?). This isnt something new here.

Luke , your "Customer service" involves you sitting on your ass and posting here all day. Dont give me the "Fortune 500" bullshit . (Been there done that too). Thats large quantities of office workers sitting on thier ass surfing the web. Run the buisness you simply work at right now and run it alone actually having to get bloody. Then get back to me. Until then... Just shut up , you have no idea what you are talking about (As ussual) .

Your right complaints here don't equal you doing nothing.....but listening to stories of people waiting nearly a year for a rack certainly makes you look a bit slow and less than interested in the 5% of the business you get from this site. Which makes we wonder if your service is this bad for only 5% of your customer base, how is it for the other 95%?

Well, I'm taking my ball and going home! I remember lines like that when I was a kid, don't like the rules change them.

You sure have been absent from your admin duites, time to start making up for lost time. Let the bannings begin!

Luke, your "Customer Service" and Kyle's must be more similiar than he would like to admit. Like you didn't have time to answer the questions about orders from the meager 5% of orders you get from this site.
