Pretty much where I am, too.
And no one would really kill off every gorilla to save one child, shit thousands of kids are dying every single day and most could be saved by a day's paycheck but those aren't going out with the daily mail I'm betting.
Yup. Pure hypocrisy.
All the death of children around the world, and common, bleeding-heart people don't do shit about it. What's a few more kids? Are they suddenly more important because they just happen to be right in front of you?
Fuck that. People don't actually care. People don't actually care if your dog dies, or a family member, or anything else for that matter. It's an illusion perpetuated by the expectation that their peers care; but they don't.
Other forums are full of threads about people and pets dying, and the threads are full of "prayers" and sympathy, but nobody's losing any sleep over the affair. They just feel they must comment because it's expected.
I've never lost an ounce of sleep over any of that nonsense. I don't care. I don't know them.
The only difference between me and others in that respect is my recognition of the fact and public admission of the same. People call me cold, as a result.
I'm all about protecting the innocent, but the innocent are dying by the thousands every day. Doesn't matter where they are; it's the same.
I've done a lot of hands-on "good" in that respect, and
I'm the one that admits he doesn't give a fuck...
Not in a million years would I exterminate a species for one child. Now, I might react more violently if it was my own kid in relation to one animal, but not for yours unless it's going to benefit me in some way. The same goes for everyone else; they just won't admit it.
Cheers,
