Plasti dip is a great solution for some applications, but it is not very robust. For a roof rack or similar I would look at spray on bedliner. It will last much longer and resist peeling way better that plasti dip.
Looks good. Like others have said, it's easy to touch up.
I prefer spraying several light coats to build up material thickness. Let it dry completely, then score the edge where it meets the masking with a fresh razor. Crisp, clean results that are easily removed.
Hello everyone. I have not been on here in quite some time as I sold my '03 Disco when my son was born a few years ago. The Disco bug has bitten me again and I feel the need to plunk down some cash. I would love any feedback from Discoweb to help me with this decision. Doing a local search I...
I am sure those Rhino Liner dealers will do however small or large a section you want. What about having them spray the bumper support area (the area you want to cover) and then give them the sheetmetal component separate? That way you have a super durable, rust free application.
Hello again-
I first had a problem with my '03 Disco about a month ago. I went out to start and the battery was dead. Just clicking. No slow cranking. I am positive there were no lights on or anything like that. I replaced the battery and everything was fine until just now. I went home...
I was poking around on the Expedition Exchange website when I ran across this picture of a modified Disco. I have not seen a bumper like this on the market, and I thought one of you may have some insight.
Thanks.
Does anyone know if there is a company making Stainless Steel replacement hinges? I did a quick search and came up empty. I too have a tiny line of rust forming in the mating surfaces of the rear door hinges.
I knew nothing about the problems with the '03 engine/oil pump. Can one of you send me the link with the VIN# range? I just bought my '03 about 2 weeks ago. I still have the warranty until November. It only has 38,000 miles on it. I wish I would have done more homework prior to making my...
Thank you all for your input. My SES light turned off this morning. I must have fixed the vacuum leak when I was unplugging and reconnecting all the vacuum hoses.
Thanks!
