    Plumbing question

Quick question for you guys. My sister in has a faucet in her house that shit the bed. She had a plumber come in and he said he couldn't replace it because the mount on new faucets isn't compatible with the bowl section of the countertop. Here's a pic of the current faucet: How would I find...

    Grill recommendations

I have a Weber propane grill that has shit the bed after owning it for less than 10 years. The bottom framework looks worse than a 20 year old Land Rover that has spent it's time on the salty roads of Chicago. Can somebody give me a recommendation of a good grill that cooks well and is built...

    Vehicle for towing

With the Kennith and Chapman feud being temporarily suspended, I guess now is a good time to get some recommendations. I have a small winery that requires me to drive 200 miles to pick up grapes. I have to tow around 8000-10000lbs (more capacity wouldn't hurt) of grapes / trailer / bins...

    Nikon 18-200 VRII

I'm selling my Nikon 18-200 VRII. After watching a few Ebay auctions, the nice ones sell for $400-$425, so I'll sell it for $400 and avoid Ebay. Here's a link to the lens description: http://kenrockwell.com/nikon/18-200mm-ii.htm Mine is in great shape. I've probably taken a few thousand pics...

    Cool Photography Site

So I've been stuck in Ohio with my wife's family, which means that I spend a shitload of time on the net. I bought a Nikon 20mm F4 lens the other day and came across this neat photography site while searching about it: Flickriver. First off, there is some great photography there. The most...

    Washington DC area

We are thinking about taking a vacation to the DC area this summer. THere's a house that we're looking at in the Hyattsville, MD area. Does anyone know if this is in the hood? We obviously don't want to be renting a home in the ghetto. Thanks.

    FrackNation

    Mac hard drive question

Here's the deal. I have an iMac with an external hard drive that I use to store my music on. It is a 250 gig drive and I want to replace it. I'd like to replace it with a new external drive, but I can't figure out how to "duplicate" the contents of that drive. I've googled and all I get back...

    Bad Starter?

A few days ago, my Disco1 seemed to turn over slowly but it started. A few times after that it started just fine. I had some new battery cables that have been waiting to go in so I installed them. Right afterwards, the car started just fine. Fast forward a few hours and I tried to start it...

    Plasma vs. LCD

We're in the market for a new TV for a TV room. I've read about Plasma vs. LCD online, but so many of the articles are really old. I get the sense that Plasma is more fluid and natural but is more suited to dark rooms. LCD is brighter, but not quite as good with motion. I believe Plasmas are...

    Care for leather boots

I recently bought some leather hiking boots with out any fancy Gore-Tex liner. What is the common wisdom on protecting / waterproofing leather boots? It seems that mink oil, Sno-Seal, and NikWax are all alternatives for leather and everybody has an idea of what is better. What are your thoughts?
