I already bought the replacement part from AB/BP, first thing. It is not a issue about money, it is about the neccessity of the part. Since, I also bought a TB gasket, I will be replacing the part, wondering if worth the effort to reconnect the cooling system through it. Thanks for everyones input.

Is it even necessary to have the TB heater? I am thinking instead of repairing the leaking part to just by-pass. It rare get that cold out here in NorCal. Any opinions for or against?

I want to Linex or similar coat my roof of my D2 before I put a rack on. I already have sever weather sun damage to roof, white showing through what suppose to be black paint. Has anyone done this and has it been a durable option for you?
