replacing the front driveshaft u joints. it looks as though there are no c clips to hold bearing caps in place. looks more like a roll pin. the new u joints have the c clips.
is this an outdated u joint that has been superseded with a newer type? if I knock out the old u joints and roll pins...
you may also want to check your trailer plug wiring. there is a dead short somewhere as mentioned above. we had a customer with this excat problem on a p38. turnd out to be that the wiring for the trailer plug had rubbed through exposing a bare wire. there must have been 50 blown fuses on the...

ditch it for a rochester carb. webbers are way to finiky. you will get more flow from the rochester, and a bit more umph. always hated webbers more for british race cars!
thought id post a follow up. once i got the knuckle off i took it over to my freinds place as he had the press. the old bearing pressed out easliy and in with the new. only problem i had was removing the top bolt that hold the knuckle in place. bolt was rusted in the bushing and had to cut it...
