Hi All
Trying to get the gear shift knob off to ultimately gain access to the shift solenoid....popped the plastic cover on top and removed clip...is the thing supposed to pop straight off or is it screwed on...don't want to proceed without knowing and end up screwing it up.

Just curious regarding thermostat temperatures....is there any benefit to going to a lower alternate temperature thermostat....from say a 190 to a 160??
Recently updated to Heavy Duty Drag Link and Tie Rod....while installing the Drag Link, the steering got messed up and now there is far less travel to lock right than to lock to the left....is there a way to centralize the steering box, then reinstall the drag link and adjust the bar for any...
Stupid question but...Does anyone know if you need the adjusting sleeve on the heavy duty tie rods (specifically DAP HD steering arms) or is it good to go w/ just the LH/RH threaded TRE's?

I know it's a long shot but...I am looking to switch out the cable on my Superwinch EP9 w/ synthetic...anyone have an aluminum fairlead they are looking to get rid of?

A couple of weeks ago, my wife was waiting in the truck while it was idling w/ the AC on (approx. 5-10 min). When we left the stock coolant tank started to blow.
Switched the tank to a new transparent one, filled coolant and the AC blew cold once again...but now it will blow cold...
We recently purchased a new truck and consequently, the Rover has become a trailer queen with no need to carry the high limits of our normal insurance coverage.
I would like to carry the bare minimum on the Rover because I do drive on the street and our great state of FL requires it...

I have a 97 D1 that I have put a 3" Body Lift on. I am trying to find out how much I should extend the steering shaft. Everything I have seen has been for the 2" BL and the specs call for a 5/8" overall extension. Anyone done this or have any idea what the overall increase should...
OK...my original starter went out ('97 D1 77k) Went to Autozone and got a rebuild....I am now on my 3rd starter from them and am tired of it crapping out. Would like to get some feedback from anyone running a mean green. Thanks- Sean

Recently, my passenger side seat belt (97 D1) has started giving us fits. When you pull on it, it locks up...the slooower you go the more that will come out but it very rarely lets out enough to connect to the buckle. Needlss to say, it is really annoying. Is there an adjustment...

Need to have the U Joints replaced in the Front Drive Shaft... Can someone provide me w/ the OE and Aftermarket (NAPA and SPICER) part numbers for them??

I am in the middle of removing the front drive shaft. All of the diff flange bolts came off fine as well as 3 of the 4 TC nuts. One has rounded off and because of the limited clearance, I can't get a bolt extractor on it. Any ideas on how to get it off are appreciated!

97 D1 w/ 77,000 miles. I have had the crank seal replaced twice in the last 3 years and it has begun to leak again! Each time the stealership has replaced w/ OE seal.
My question is 2fold: 1. Is there a better seal that can be used, 2. How difficult of a procedure is it to...
