    Maxxis creepy crawlers...

I ran the Maxxis Bighorns and they did like to sing real loud on the pavement. Tough tires. They lasted about 40k miles and put them on a work truck.

    DII starter problems?

That is true. I got a starter from Autozone for 90 something. The dealer in Tulsa wanted over 800. To replace it was no big deal. If the OP changed plug wires on a Bosch engine then the starter will be no big deal at all if that is what the car needs.

03 D2, Loss of coolant and oil pressure

Oil problem was a collapsed oil filter (Fram brand). The filter only had about 500 miles and the paper caved in. I never had seen that before. Coolant leak is below the throttle. There are two small water lines that - I suppose - are there to keep the throttle from freezing. Anyhow there is...

A Blizzard in Montana + CDL

There have been a number of devices similar to a choke cable used with various degrees of success. The one I liked the best had a push pull cable mounted almost under the seat. Just reach down and a simple push or pull. I think the main thing to consider is stuff like grass pulling on the...

03 D2, Loss of coolant and oil pressure

I want to think that both issues have something in common but I do not know if that could be the case.

03 D2, Loss of coolant and oil pressure

I cant say that I have looked that close in the tank but I have not noticed any coolant spewing from the tank, nor have i seen it bubble bubble in there. I will look at it again to be sure though. Right now I can't seem get the oil pump to prime. I don't know if I have one problem...

03 D2, Loss of coolant and oil pressure

Coolant is what is being lost but I have not figured out where. The coolant that did come out of the tank and got on the spark plugs was caused by me trying to fill the coolant tank by myself. The oil level has not changed any that is noticeable.

03 D2, Loss of coolant and oil pressure

Greetings and merry Christmas! :patriot: I have a 2003 D2 with 90k miles that has a habit of loosing coolant and the oil pump seems to loose its prime. Once the pump catches prime, lifters sound normal and appears to have good oil pressure. The coolant loss is at a rate of about 1 quart in...

Help my pregnant wife get into my disco.

OOPS! SHE drives the rig? UMM we got to think this over again! My bars can be tweeked down two or three inches below the door threshold but that makes the foot pads at an angle that she could slip from unless you could add some abrasive traction tape on it. That might be a good fix for you...

    disco suspension

Oh boy here we go again! Most of us are already green with envy because you was able to have an '02 Defender. We don't get to have new Defenders in the U.S. The stock suspension is shot. How many miles is 215000km? Oh well that dosen't matter. The rig wallows and bottoms out too much so it...

Help my pregnant wife get into my disco.

Since you asked us for social advice, dont repeat what Soakers said to the wife. That will get the rig lowered for sure and your butt banned off D-web for a while!

Help my pregnant wife get into my disco.

I agree with Mich and Soakers. Look at the back of the owners manual it should have the Queen's logo on back. Tell Mommy-to-be the rig is good enough for Ferggie and family then treat her like a lil queen with the steps; life ought to be GOOD! Might put some red carpet on the little steps...
