I'm shopping for a code reader that will work on my Discovery 2002 and 2004. Not looking for the most expensive, just one that will identify and clear codes. Anyone have any advice?

Simple question... Where is the best place to get a good deal on an alternator for my 2004 Discovery?

After a long discussion with my mechanic, I'm going to try the sealant. If that doesn't do the trick I might have to sell a few toys to afford a new engine and that would be sad.

My 04 Discovery was registering a misfire at start up. My shop diagnosed a coolant leak in cylinder #6. (not the head gasket but leaking through the cylinder liner) The options given to me to fix the problem were A-remanufactured engine, B-used engine or C-use block seal in the coolant system...

What is the purpose of this bleed screw anyway, and is there a procedure I need to follow when replacing it?

I've been smelling coolant lately and noticed the reservoir needed topping off. Looking around I noticed some seepage around the bleed screw on the T-connector. I tried to tighten it, but it's still leaking. In lieu of replacing the whole connector, I'm thinking it needs a gasket under the...

I'm tracking down a coolant leak on my 2004 Discovery that I recently bought. Shop did a pressure test and everything came back OK. So I'm looking at the reservoir cap, it looks to be altered... here is a photo. What do you think?

I figure that since the air suspension is still working fine and I don't plan on doing any hard core off roading, I'll just add some spacers and new shocks. The Toddco kit looks like something I might go with. Thanks for all the info.

I just picked up a 2004 Discovery with air suspension in the rear. Now I would like to add a 2inch lift and larger tires but I'm not sure where to start. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do the lift and what size tires I should run with a 2 inch lift? Thanks

I'm hearing a knocking noise from the front end of my 1998 Discovery when I have the wheels in a tight turn. The knocking only happens when I am moving so I suspect it might be a CV joint. But I have never had a CV joint go bad so I don't really know if it is that or the steering box. Anyone...

The shift lever to my transfer case is locked up and I was reading that a little PB Blaster on the linkage might free it up. My question is: How do I get to the linkage?

I thought the pressure test would show something. They told me it sat for over an hour holding pressure. I'll look around the radiator like you said. Maybe I should have it pressure tested when it is hot? - Chris
