It's killing me to miss this trip. Royal Blue connects Winrock to I75, it's free to ride, free to camp also. I've gone an entire day on one trail before.

Does this trip still have room for anyone to go? Me & my wife & child ( especially him) have been wanting to go on some sort of trip ( We are newbies). We have a 2003 Disco SE7 but it is totally stock ( except for the OEM Brush Bar) at this time not sure how well it would do.

not a clue about the difficulty but i assume that you will be fine, like someone said earler were not fond of trail damage, i figure that there will be trails of all sorts there but i do like to prove people wrong when they say i can't do something :) Dates are 17 and 18,

Since a few of you noted that this is your first time here are a few things you may want to take along

-first and foremost Boots and leather
-GPS f you have one
-Cameras
-CB so we can communicate
-snacks and water
-some rock grease :D
-your properly inflated spare and lug wrench, i figure a few of us are going to have on board air or powertanks to fill tires, I do :D )
-a good tire deflator or tire gauge if you want to deflate
-there should be enough recovery gear amoung us but bring whatever you feel necessary
-and last but definately not least, BEER for the campsite or hotel party!!

The only problem with stock is that after one trip, it will never be stock again. Seriously, you will find that anything that might be a risk will have a bypass. Everyone was stock at one point, and no one will give you grief for not wanting to tear up your truck. We all want to see you back again next time!

Well said, and very true! Stock or modded who cares, the more people and trucks the more FUN!

We will take care of you, our club is not named "4X4Grace" for nothing. There is no shame in taking a bypass, I do it quite often. I'm old enough (and broke up enough) that the peer pressure no longer has any effect

Alright guys! Sounds like a hell of a trip we've got going here, 5 pages of posts... :D

Alright is looks like Bladke (btp98w) is camping, anyone else? I'll camp if you are Blake, I just don't wanna be the only chap drink'n beer by the fire all night..

How far's the hotel from the camping area? If it's super close we could all just party there before some of you retire to your rooms in the hotel... But no one wants a DUI, or worse a car wreck, so that may not be the best idea...

So are we narrowing down a meeting time and place yet?
A meeting place in Oak Ridge might work well, everyone has to go through Oak Ridge to get to the camp site right?
I know that I along with others coming in on I-40 will be getting off at exit 356, then we'd take Hwy 58 to Hwy 95N that goes into Oak Ridge. It looks like all the other directions on the windrockcampground.com page takes everyone through Oak Ridge too. So that might be the best place to meet up...?
Opinions?

Three people in one vehicle for two days will cost $90. Every person entering the Coal Creek OHV area must have a permit ($15/day) and sign their waiver form.
