If you have the 17, and like the feel of it then why not go with a 19? Or are you wanting to change caliber too?

The 19 is a great gun, but may be a little tough to conceal depending on clothing and body type.

The op stated that they don't like the feel of the baby Glocks.

And is anyone else tired of the trend of taking little guns and making them bigger with grip extensions? Yes, it makes them easier to shoot. It also makes usually makes them harder to conceal.

If he likes the 17, I would put some round through a baby Glock before righting it off. Lots of people get way more comfortable with them with a little time. If he's put several hundred rounds through one and still doesnt like it, then move on to other options. When I got my 27 i really wanted a 23 cause it felt better, but the 27 was a more concealable size. After some range time I shoot my 27 (w/stock mag) just as comfortably and well as a full size 22 or 17. They are a little weird at first, but if you like Glocks it will quickly become very comfortable.

For me, and I realize this differs person to person, it's the thickness of a gun that determines its concealability. I like G17s and G19s and I carry a M&P40 as a duty gun, all of which I have CCd at one time or another. The baby glocks don't change much for me in that regard.

Granted, I carry at the 4 o'clock position, which affects my choices some. The PPS and Kahrs just suit me better.

I carried a Model 28 stuffed under my T-shirt for years before I got my little .38.

It's hard to argue the impact of pointing what looks like a stove pipe at someone who has put you in that position.

A 4" N frame can be carried under a T-shirt. I did it often when I was younger and a little thinner. It requires a good belt and a good IWB holster. One size larger shirts don't hurt, either.

Surprised no one has mentioned a Sig, I've been looking at the p250. It feels perfect in the hand but haven't been able to shoot it yet. Anyone have any experience with it?

I have the Glock 26 and the Ruger LCP.

I can carry the LCP in many front pockets unnoticed.

Can't do that with the 26.

I've actually been carrying the Glock 30 SF for about six months now and like it a lot. Love the 45 acp round. This summer it will be the G20 10mm a little big but it suits Alaska better.

Have you looked at a 29SF? 10mm whump in a very handy package. Mine was dramatically more controllable with the tiny Pearce pinky rest.

I shot an lcp and an lc9 last week. They are both great little guns, and I've had a hard time picking one. I'm thinking of going with the lcp if not just for the concealment factor. I sold my g26 because it was too bulky to hide. Coming from glocks though, I'm not a fan of the loooooong trigger pulls.

I got a P250 when they first came out in .40S&W and it was the most unreliable gun i've ever owned. I tried all sorts of different ammo, and that gun would not reliably feed any of them. I carried that gun daily for a few months and it was just too large for me to comfortably conceal on a day to day basis.

I sold the P250 and picked up a Glock 26 and a Ruger LCP. Both are great guns and i alternate between them for my daily carry gun. Most of the time i carry the LCP in a pocket holster and forget its even there. It is very easy to concel and I dont have to worry about my kids accidentaly grabbing my gun. The Glock 26 I usually carry when its cold outside and I'm wearing a jacket to help conceal.

Both are great carry guns. Like others have said, your body type and day to day clothing will help determine what you feel comfortable carrying.

I got the Ruger LCP last year and ended up not really liking it at all. I ended up selling it and came across a Diamondback .380 and so far I really like it. About the same size as the LCP, hides really well in front, back or cargo pocket. The sights on it are really nice compared to the LCP for whatever that's worth considering it's main use, obviously it's not something to take plinking. ;) And the price was right, paid $250 for it. Haven't owned it long enough to really give much more of a review that that. It's also available in a 9mm but I didn't have any luck finding one of those around town.

I did and I almost bought it instead. Great package. I just got the standard cause I got such a good deal on it. Plus up there having it hidden isn't really that big of a deal.
