You guys are welcome to stay in the camper next year, it can fit 10 easy.
Dean's kids were in it watching movies with Garrett Friday evening.

more along the lines of......what kind of drive shaft kit can i get to replace my rotoflex when i do a 3 inch on my disco. and besides i only find myself running with a hi lift and tow straps in my hands

if you want to go the cheap route just replace the rear shaft with an early RRC shaft. you will have to replace with a 4 bolt setup instead of the 3 bolt.
all four of my trucks have a solid 3" lift with no vibes. stock (non roto) driveshafts on all of them.

Daniel, nice pictures on your Shen4x4 site. Looks like you boys were having ALL the fun.

My friends and I are still trying to figure out how they got the disco with the sheared off hub off the trail?

Garrett, wasn't me on the pipes! Sorry I missed you. We kind of just hunkered down on the island, until we raced off of it Sat. AM when the water was coming up. We couldn't bear to re-set up camp in the rain.

I was glad we went down plenty early, because we got to run all the west end trails Wed. nite in the Disco, then hit all the east end trails with the Series truck on Thursday, before the deluge began.

Disco with Broken parts + Drew + headscratching and phone call= Back at camp on all four wheels. There was a new hub and a 1/2" bolt with some big washers involved also :D

I'm totally convinced that Drew is the McGuvery of the rover world.. Give the man some duct tape and a wrench and he can fix anything.

I wonder what would happen if Drew and Bill Burke put their heads together? Prolly solve global warming and world hunger. :D

Agreed....but I am convinced that he could fix anything with merely scotch tape and a playschool toy wrench!!

I might be back in business soon but I may hold off to have the rest of the setup match the custom CV's. ......considering alternative 35 - 36's as well;-)

Why do I have a feeling that next year all of us are going to come all prepared for the worst rain ever, and it won't rain a drop.. haha..

Just like I've brought a tent heater and propane every year including MAR '03. That one time you need it though, you'll be glad you have it.

Stayed through Sunday morning. Cooked all of the left overs for breakfast, packed up a few things, headed out around 10am. Got 10 miles out and lost a head gasket- dealt with a misfire and 6 cyls out of 8 until the Dulles toll road. Towed it home from Tyler K's.
Also discovered a bent tie rod end, not the RTE link, just the ball joint- a winch solenoid went up and somewhere is a wheel bearing occaisionally spinning on it's stub axle.
Took 10 hours to go 200 miles.
Oh, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I wish I had brought mine. I thought about it but ended up leaving it at home. If I had brought it I would have run a bottle during the day just to dry the inside of the tent out, even if I didn't need it at night.
